And he needed a job. Description: Well built, standing around 6 feet tall. Dark hair, olive skin. Dark, brown eyes. Strong facile features. His build is muscular, and stocky. Imagine a lumberjack. Personality:Generally outgoing, mostly upbeat. Fiercely loyal to those he considers his friends. Obeys command absolutely. Skills: Your quintessential special forces soldier. Expert hand-to-hand combatant but his true skills lies in his abilities with firearms. Having served in the Fgyptian equivalent of Delta Force, the Sa'Ka forces, he is trained in direct action, ambush combat, interdiction, sabotage, and covert infiltration. Brief History: The Durans have long been know and commissioned as stone masons. Their history tracks back to antiquity. Some of the world's most well known structures has had the 'Duran Touch'. Their fortunes were amassed that way. The last 5 generations had settled in the American West, in the Rocky Mountains where there is an abundance material for them to work and play with. Their family, however, traces their ancestry back to the cradle of Civilization itself, thus explaining the odd name for an American. They also still worship some of the older gods, hence his name. Some time during his adolescence, him and his family moved back to the old country. He found himself in a foreign land, where he barely spoke the language and definitely had no friends. Having applied an gotten accepted to West Point, he thought he'd do the same in Egypt. He applied and subsequently enrolled in the Egyptian Military Academy. Military service has not been something his parents thought he would undertake. However, they allowed him to follow through on his plans, wanting to see if their son can keep his words. For Ramses, joining the military academy guaranteed one thing. He would have more 'friends' coming out than he did going in. Upon completion of his academy duties, Ramses continued his service by enlisting in the Egyptian army, eventually working and raising his way into the Sa'Ka forces. Along the way, he had several deployments where he learned the harsh truth. No one cares. Being a low ranking grunt means you get all the shit and none of the shine. A mission needs doing? You're up, rook. An interview with some posh media? Nah, your rank is too low. Breaching a possible terrorist holdout? You're it kid. A recruiting tour through Cairo? We need an officer for that. For fuck sakes. He did this for a few years and decided to say fuck it. He served until his term was up and was honorably discharged. After his time with the military, be bounced around, doing private security and the like. The money came in, but not as much or as freely as he liked. During his time as a private security contractor, he heard whispers of a private company based out in Venezuela. A 'camp' they called it. He thought the prospects to be quite interesting. Nowhere did he hear about the kind of money he would be making but that didn't matter. He would be getting out of Egypt, for one, and going to experience something new. And that is all he needed, to be honest... Other: He speaks pretty good English and does not follow one specific religion.
