Xavier and Blue

Xavier had been correct with his first guess, and lucky that the second was not true. Xavier stood silently at the edge of the clearing, the light barely enough to reach him, though more than enough to illuminate his rather bright color scheme of whites and greys. He was not hiding so much as he was simply not approaching, the disconcertingly empty, calculating gaze that all too often made children cry being the only emotion adorning his face. Blue however, had a very different approach upon seeing all the other people and pokemon. There was only one way [s]in her mind at least[/s] to show who the boss was around here, and for some reason it involved skipping aggressively into the clearing and immediately tripping over a fallen branch and planting herself face-first into the dirt, then again that might not have been the plan. Xavier sighed as his expression softened, taking a few steps in the direction of the now silently bawling Kirlia. As self assured as the pokemon was, she was also extremely proud and fairly vain, and was easily upset by her little shows of dominance failing, events that happened all too often. "Come now Blue, you are no baby, you brought that upon yourself... enough with the crying." The kirlia responded with a sniffle and a huff, scooping up the berry seed pit she had dropped during her fall and throwing it at the branch she tripped over, as if to accuse it of something before sliding up to hide behind Xavier and mend her wounded pride, brushing dirt out of her fur. "I apologize for bothering you, I had originally planned to move past your group, but the little display you witnessed has reminded me that Blue needs her rest, as do I." He spoke to nobody in particular as he scanned the contents of the clearing, taking note of the pokemon with little more than a glance.
