Name: Aura McCloud Age: 20 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Nationality: Scottish Tent: C Reason for Joining The Sundown Company: Aura joined The Sundown Company as a chance to escape her own mind, and give herself a proper purpose. Specialty: Guerilla Warfare, Bushcraft Personality: Aura is always trying to push the limits, poking at the line to see how far she can get it to move before it stops, and then toeing that line even after she has found it. She has an attitude that sees everything around her as useful in some way, some tool that could be utilised to get her an advantage, any advantage, even if she doesn’t know how. She is loyal to her buddies, and a tad play-flirty, but she is a little hot-headed and can act a little harshly (or physically) when confronted. Appearance: Aura stands at a height of 5’5, usually in a relaxed stance. She has blonde hair that flows down to the upper-middle region of her back, loose when she can have it but in a ponytail if she needs it to be. She has small ears with small lips to match. Aura is usually quite expressive in her eyes - if she is feeling cocky, cheerful or has low morale, you can usually tell by looking at what she’s doing with her eyes, complemented by narrow eyebrows. Her body itself is quite slim and something teenagers would die to date her for, but with a decent but not-too-big nor impressive bust. History: Growing up under a military father was interesting for Aura - because he wasn’t around often. She always found it funny how much influence he had on her even though he was rarely there for her. In a way, it taught Aura to work for herself a lot of the time, as she didn’t find her mother that much of a supporter. Aura grew up in Aberdeen, in Scotland, and was subject to little free time. She followed in her father, Daniel McCloud’s footsteps of a little-freetime childhood not by her own choice but by his (and, of course, Aura’s mother’s choice). Young Aura spent time in the cadets, bushcraft classes and, when he was here, Aura’s father would take her to a target shooting club. Aura viewed her mother as little more than a slave to her father, as all she did was listen to him and, if necessary, force Aura to attend whatever she needed to attend even if she didn’t want to. At the age of fifteen, Aura’s father disclosed something that shocked her. He had been dishonourably discharged a year after she was born, under allegations that he was heavily abusing his wife. Despite the allegations having been proved wrong and Mister McCloud being excused of any wrongdoing, he wasn’t permitted to rejoin the military. Instead, he had been serving the whole time as a part of the Sundown Company, and was using his skills there instead. This conversation with her father didn’t drive her toward wanting to join Sundown and follow him, nor join the British Military. In fact, she practically intended to turn into a terrorist. At the age of sixteen, when she was legally allowed to leave school, she immediately did so. Using her mother’s submissive attitude against her, Aura managed to obtain the funds from the family’s pool to purchase her own cheap little home in a nice little hidey hole. Using her own key, given to her by her father on good terms, she made the long trek to where the shooting range was and took her rifle as well as ammunition, and stashed it all at her home, under the floorboards. Her plan failed by her own emotions. She didn’t want to get arrested, but she wanted to do something. She made plans as to how to broadcast her hatred for the government for removing her father of his job despite it being so long ago. Her mother constantly tried to contact her, to talk her out of it and to tell her it was all in the past, which didn’t help the internal struggle. Aura drew maps and plans of how to ambush government officials based on reports of where they were going from the news, even stashed away items in hidden locations for later use, but she never actually did anything. One day, that changed. Aura arrived home to find her home broken into and ransacked, floorboards pulled up, and a furious but concerned father standing there with all of her hard work placed on a large table in front of him. It was then that Aura confessed everything to him, showed him everything she had done and proclaimed herself an idiot for it. Aura’s mother had apparently worked up the courage to tell Aura’s father that Aura had ‘stolen’ money to buy the house and keep herself up, and as if to add to what was going on, one of her father’s friends had called to ask if Aura had moved off to a different shooting club, due to her rifle being missing from there for a long time. Aura was soon left with a broken house and broken dreams. Her father remained with her for a few days to help her clean up, and to burn everything negligent in the fireplace, before leaving her again to go back to his work. Aura did nothing for three weeks, just staying at home and existing, before a pair of letters came through the mail. The first one surprised her. By recommendation of Daniel McCloud, Aura’s father, Bill Tyler was inviting her to join the Sundown Company. All travelling expenses for her to get there in the first place were going to be paid for by her father. The second letter was from her father. It was obviously intended for her father’s letter to get there first instead of them both arriving at the same time; the letter told her that he had recommended her to join the Sundown Company, and that she was going to be receiving a letter soon. As terrible as it was to make plans as she did, the plans were well thought out, and he knew that she had the skills necessary. It would give her a place to be rather than seething in a shitty little home. And so, Aura followed her father’s advise. She went to Camp Sunshine.
