[@blubirb] Oooh, very nice! I assume he just finished his first year of his master's study? Also, what's the name of his parents' fashion brand? Finally, what does he think of the letter and the trip? What's the thing that pushed him to pursue his soulmate despite resenting being Fragmented? I don't really have much else to say XD Well done! I really like him!
Yep, that’s correct! Sung-il will soon be in his second year of grad school. I have to admit, I’m not the best at creating brand names hence why I left it pretty vague :’), but now that you’ve asked, I think I’ll call it “C.M.E. by Ji & Woo”, which stands for 처음 만났어요 (cheoeum mannass-eoyo) meaning, “I met you for the first time”, as a sort of nod to his parents’ first memories of meeting each other and falling in love since they’re sappy like that. Also, as a disclaimer, I used google translate so the translation might be off, but that’s the general gist of what I wanted it to mean haha! The resentment mainly stems from feelings of helplessness and vulnerability. Like his parents, Sung-il’s a romantic and hopes that he can someday also have the sort of unbreakable bond that they have, but the idea of being unable to live both mentally and physically without his soulmate frightens him so terribly to the point where he’d rather he didn’t have the mark at all. Basically, he does want to find his soulmate, but feels pressured by the fact that he has no choice and HAS to find his other half or he’ll suffer a lonely existence as someone Lost. He was surprised to receive the letter at first and while he knows he shouldn’t get his hopes up, he can’t help feeling excited for the trip, knowing that this could be the opportunity he’s been waiting for to meet his soulmate.
