[@DruSM157] What you say is truth! Paper armour, flashlight weapons, the Guard are where the 'humanity' is at. As to the [i]when[/i], that would be [i]vague/undefined[/i] year M42 - Rowboat is back as Lord-Protector of the realm, the Milky Way is torn asunder, there are now far more rebels and traitors to kill etc. Of course, being the Guard, we'll be doing the slogging and dying part of it.

For anyone seeking inspiration, I highly recommend Gaunt's Ghosts as novels, the Sharpe books/show by Bernard Cornwell, Band of Brothers and The Pacific and any old WWII films you can find.

The Uzanians are similiarly light infantry/recon soldiers, think of any modern troops that fit that - especially Green Berets, Royal Marines, Gurkhas, WWII Chindits and so forth - and you'll get a pretty good idea of what/who we are.

Unlike the Tanith First and Only, who began as 'Celtic' ninja in space, we've no defined identity as of yet; you can all help with that through your writing, also means options for characters are pretty wide openin terms of theme etc.
