It was their Freshman year when Rosa first met Rachel, though perhaps the word met is a bit strong. It would be more fitting to say it was the first time she saw Rachel, as the two did not speak for their first two years of college. Despite this, Rosa felt immediately fascinated by the girl. For the first time in her life, her brain buzzed with thoughts that she didn't know how to articulate. In order to figure them out, she turned to writing. She'd written before, but it was always analytical, never creative. But Rachel changed that. Rosa found that as she watched the girl from day to day, she found herself scrawling down her feelings in the forms of poetry and journal entries. The infatuation became what some might consider obsessive, and Rosa, at times, had to convince herself she wasn't a stalker. It was true that she watched her in every class they had together, would go to football games just to see her cheer, and would happen to show up at the parties Rachel threw despite having no interest in partying, but she'd never follow the girl home, so it didn't count, right? The first time the two actually talked was in Junior year. Rosa, against her better judgement, decided to attend an open mic poetry night, and read one of her poems. Little did she know, Rachel was in the audience. Rachel came up to her after and complimented the poem, causing Rosa to well up with both joy and an overwhelming fear that Rachel knew it was about her, or knew about Rosa's tendency to watch her. It didn't stop Rosa from watching though. In fact, it gave her the courage to actually talk to Rachel every now and again. Rosa isn't sure why she was invited on the vacation, but she sure as hell wasn't going to turn it down.
Appearance Details Can be paragraphs or bullets following this guideline:

Hair: Black | Wavy Going Down a Few Inches Past Shoulders | Usually Unkempt
Eyes: Green
Height: 5'5
Body Type: Thin, with bad posture. She tends to lurk with her back to a wall, watching more people than she talks to. She's convinced that most everyone doesn't even know she exists, and to some degree, she's right. She's also what people might call obsessive, and constantly feels self-conscious about that fact, and is constantly anxious someone might discover her stalkerish tendencies. She's also consumed enough fiction to be brainwashed into being a good person. The downside of this, however, is that she is somewhat naïve, and doesn't quite know what the real world is like.
Upbringing Synopsis
Rosa's older sister, Eliana, had always been the smarter one of the two. She'd shown immense promise in most of her studies as early as elementary school. She only got smarter and smarter as time went by. By the time she was in eighth grade, she had enough achievements under her belt to get a scholarship to the private school of her choice, which was helpful given that their family, being lower-middle class, couldn't exactly afford private school. She was phenomenal. She was a straight-A student, and ended up being valedictorian her senior year. After high school, she went on to do four years of school majoring in business at Woodford, and then scored herself a job at a successful, nationally renowned steel creation and distribution business. It didn't take her long to scale the ladder, and by the age of 28, she was making more money than most 28-year-olds can even fathom. So, with all this newfound wealth, she decided to do what any sibling would do: she set up and paid for her little sister's education at her own almer motter, expecting greatness. Rosa did not have the same natural talent or passion for learning as her sister. Woodford was difficult for Rosa. She tried her hardest, focusing on school and nothing else, but she still ended up with only a B average. It only took a few months into Freshman year for Rosa to feel like she was being crushed under the weight of everything. And then she discovered Rachel, and, by proxy, writing. Her mother has given up all hope of her being like her sister, and is pushing her to get a job with her sister after she’s out of college. When Rosa got the invite to Rachel's vacation, she knew what she had to do: she'd go, and if by the time the summer with her muse ended she hadn't created some sort of masterpiece, she'd work with her sister like her mother wanted. I didn’t do anything fancy, mainly because I don’t know how, but might add some fanciness in later. Also, if it feels weird reading, it’s because I had to edit some stuff. I made a mistake on my first draft, and had to do a bunch of editing to fix it. Edit: Depending on y’all’s feedback, I may decide to make her thing for Rachel less of an obsession and more of just a normal crush.
