Terrific. Of course she's here... Guin thought a bit morosely. She wanted to be able to talk to Wanda about all of this without Allison learning what had happened to change the world like this - she needed time to get Wanda's side of the story. She liked Allison and knew that she was just doing what she thought was right, but there was no grey area with her. Everything was black and white - but that just wasn't the sort of world they operated in. She grimaced as the prisoners were brought out for execution as punishment for the crime of treason against King Erik. She didn't understand why so many people loved going to executions - sure, it was a public spectacle but they were always incredibly gruesome. Guin looked away, especially as King Erik declared that Prince Flynn was going to burn the criminals alive. She didn't have the stomach to watch something that grotesque. However, the ground shook and she heard the starts of a fight break out, watching as an arrow nearly hit King Erik in the eye. This had to be the Human Resistance. "Shit," she muttered. She couldn't exactly get Wanda to confess under these circumstances. The resistance group didn't seem to care if they endangered innocent people as well and she tried to probe their minds telepathically to figure out what their endgame was, but something was blocking her. They could be here to kill the King for all she knew. Her eyes flickered over towards Wanda and she "accidentally" brushed up against her, trying to switch bodies but it failed. There went her idea of getting her hands on the most powerful mutant abilities in order to minimize the inevitable deaths. "Hey, Pietro? I really think I would be safer in the palace with Wanda..." she said softly, switching tactics. If she got Wanda inside with her, she could talk to her about all of this, but also keep Wanda from using her insanely high level gifts to kill these people. Pietro looked at Guin for a moment, almost like he was thinking about what she said. A few seconds later though, Guin found herself... Locked in a closet? The door was completely locked and unable to be opened, and she didn't seem to have anything that could be useful. No electronics or anything really with her. There was a pile of Twinkies, a Vulpix plushie, and a blanket in the closet with her though. "FUCK!" Guin screamed, kicking at the door. "Let me out!!!"

Runa Blake

Location: the Palace Grounds D5 -> the Mirror Dimension Skills: Eldritch Magic
Every fiber of her being felt like it had been electrified as she saw her cousin being sent to her execution. A death like this wouldn't allow Klara to pass to Valhalla - she would end up in Hel's domain. Maybe later, she would be able to tease her cousin about how they were going to use fire to kill her, as Klara could manipulate water in the real world, but not now. She gripped her sling ring, intent on opening up a portal beneath Klara's feet to send her back to the Human Resistance HQ in the blink of an eye and safe from harm. Before she could do anything though, everything seemed to happen at once. The ground started to shake, her cousin was doused in water by the well dressed mutant from before, and then suddenly the world shifted - no, it wasn't that, she had fallen down. She couldn't grasp what was happening until after Lance had fallen to the ground as well and blood was rapidly pooling around her. She had been shot. Everything was a blur of color and sound, but she saw another blow coming towards her and she used all of her strength, putting up a weak magic shield that prevented the assailant from hitting her. "You..." Runa said hoarsely, recognizing her attacker as the vile man from before. He had knocked Lance unconscious and started to drag him away. She had never felt so helpless before in her life. Closing her eyes for a moment, she wondered if calling out to Heimdall would do any good. Would the host of Asgard come to her aid? She was just human here. She wasn't the granddaughter of Odin. She was no one - just an insignificant amateur sorceress. A horrible idea then popped into her head and she acted on impulse, convinced that if she did nothing, Lance would die. The bullet was probably going to kill her anyways, so self preservation wasn't a factor anymore. "Dormammu... I've come to bargain... my life for power..." she whispered. Pressure built over the bullet wound and the skin around her eyes turned purple, before cracking like she was made of porcelain. The bleeding had largely stopped and she rose to her feet, her eyes narrowing as she saw James and she let out a scream. Raising up her hand, a disc of purple magic appeared and she flung it at James, aiming for his arm but instead, she severed his hand and the limb dropped to the ground. Lance was just lying on the ground unconscious, but at least James was no longer dragging him. "You sick, depraved little worshipper of Surtur!" Runa snapped, grabbing onto James with one hand and opening a portal to the mirror dimension with her other. She pulled him through with her and then closed it, cutting them off from the rest of the world. "I am going to kill you in the way you most fear - and then, even after death, I will go to each creature in existence and have them swear an oath to bring you nothing but pain in the afterlife!"

Dominika Novikova

Location: Human Resistance HQ -> the Palace Grounds B4 -> E5 Skills: Metal Bending
"Maybe we should invest in a set of helmets to block out telepaths," Novikova suggested as they drove. Of course, it would be a little bit cliché for her to wear one - a mutant with powers of metal and magnetism, wearing a helmet that prevented people like Charles Xavier from reading her mind? Yeah, no one had heard of anything like that before for sure. It wasn't like Magneto (or King Erik here) was famous for doing just that. Nope, not at all. Of course, she knew there were further similarities between the two of them - she had unleashed a killing machine that nearly ended the world. Some might call her a hero, but others would say she was a villain that deserved to be in the Raft. Maria Hill certainly thought so, she recalled bitterly. Even if they managed to fix the world and turn things back to normal, their team wouldn't be the same. There was always a price for every victory. She was pulled away from her thoughts as Maria kissed her and took on some of her powers. "I feel fine," Novikova said honestly, giving her girlfriend a slight smile. She loved being able to work with Maria like this again - even with people spouting off cheesy lines about the Avengers. They only had two of the original six here with them. Thor was dead, Iron Man was just a genius billionaire from what she knew, and then she had no idea when it came to Black Widow and Captain America. Once they arrived at the Palace and ditched the cars, moving in from the tree line, Novikova took a slight breath. She would have to fight Magneto. No one else here could really manipulate metal - and while it was possible Maria had gotten that power, it was a difficult one to master. She knew that Magneto's prowess exceeded her own - he was an omega level mutant after all - but she had to try. At the very least, she could buy the others time. That always seemed to be the gamble they played, no matter the tragedy - they just always needed more time. Would today be when time finally ran short? Moving towards Magneto, she concentrated on the metal in his crown and attempted to crush it inwards. She couldn't hold back fighting him - this wasn't going to be some honorable and respectable duel. It was going to be a gritty and dirty fight to the death. Unfortunately, Magneto managed to counteract her attempts with ease and he spotted her, staring right at her. "Down with the King," Novikova said simply, before trying again to crush him. She managed to get the crown to start to dent, but even that was taking an enormous amount of power and energy.

Casper Theriot

Location: the Ground -> the East Entrance - Baton Rouge, Louisiana Skills: Mediumship
"When exactly do you think she jumped out of a plane before?" Ben asked curiously, having reappeared once Casper had hit the ground. That was one of the perks of being a ghost - parachuting out of a plane wasn't dangerous anymore. To Ben's knowledge, it was impossible for him to be killed a second time. All of life's dangers were gone - though that didn't mean he still didn't get scared for Casper. They had been friends since childhood and he didn't want to see Casper meet an early grave, though Ben knew it was extremely likely that Casper wouldn't live to an old age. He would probably die young for an overdose. "Wait, this is your first heist?" Casper asked Anastasia, his eyes widening. "Woah... I wish we had a camera, we definitely should've taken a picture for the occasion." He was being genuine, but he also wouldn't have been surprised if she punched him for saying that. As it was, his brother ended up smacking him across the head for shoving him out of a plane - but he had done it out of brotherly love! He held his head slightly. "Jaaaaackie, so mean!" Casper whined. He was really really really tempted to go through the front entrance, as that would definitely put the facility on alert. He liked the idea of making this mission hard and/or impossible - but what he didn't want to do was get everyone killed. Walking in through the front entrance and going hi, it's us, thieves! would definitely result in casualties from what everyone was saying about the Red Guard and S.H.I.E.L.D. in this universe. He would just have to find a less deadly way to mess things up. Following after his brother, Casper whistled as he walked. He wasn't stealthy or silent at all - it was probably a good thing that he wasn't actually considering a career in thievery, as he wasn't really cut out for it. The entrance seemed to be guarded and he couldn't help but feel disappointed. How was he going to mess this mission up if everything was super easy?!
