This defies relativity. The theory of general relativity states that space and time are weaved together in a fabric. Mass bends this fabric. Gravity is actually other mass inside these curves. Earth, for example, follows curves caused by the Sun. If Relativity were true, which we believe it is, then gravity is the same everywhere. Gravity, one of the fundamental forces, is the same everywhere.
