He's currently in the process of moving in and getting to know the area and the people around him. He hopes to one day hit it big with his art, selling them for thousands apiece. In the meantime, his cramped, run down apartment and expensive addiction to Rebellion Energy Drinks will have to keep him on his toes. Constantly hopped up on caffeine, sugar, and excitement, people within a five foot radius should be cautious, or risk getting swept up in his latest escapade or shenanigan. » Ty is easy to spot anywhere you go, even in a crowd, due to the amount of space he takes up. It isn't his height, at an average 5'6. It's rather the aura that radiates off of him, accompanied with wild gestures and antics. It's as if he can't contain all the energy he's got bottled up inside his lean, lithe frame, surprisingly fit for all the junk he consumes. Many people get the vibe that he's one more milligram of caffeine from being the first person to literally bounce off the walls. Those who know him speculate he'd be just as energetic without all the sugar and caffeine. » Despite his fast-paced personality, Ty appears to be a very approachable person. His big blue eyes are always crinkled under the pressure of a grin that's brighter than Sol City's streetlights. His jet black hair, to his dismay, is always dropping over his eyes and into his face, no matter how hard he tries to tame it. For the most part, he leaves it to its own devices, coming down to his chin and flopped to the right side of his face. His warm-toned skin would be mostly unblemished if it weren't for old burn scars that cover his lower back and stomach. Several years old, the once angry red marks have since faded to lighter red shades at the worst of it, completely pale against his skin tone at the rest. » In stark contrast to his bubbly personality, his dress is generally formal and monotone. It's mostly out of habit, rather than anything else, seeing as collared shirts and ties made up most of his childhood garb. He's imaginative, always finding new ways to keep things colorful, on canvases and in real life. Ty thrives in social environments, and paired with his charming and often lightly flirty mannerisms, he's pretty well likable in the eyes of others. Many would think that his personality would leave other people in the dust, but Ty is especially careful to be empathetic and selfless. He has a kneejerk protective reflex towards the people that he bonds with.

» Ty has a tendency to get attached too easily to people who seem to put trust in him, becoming clingy and even possessive at times. Despite making connections easily with others, he's very untrusting and rarely shares anything deeply personal about himself. He has a very anxious and critical voice inside his head, that often contradicts his actions and manner, making him uncertain at times. He is very sensitive, and tends to shut down when confronted. Ty does not respond well to anger, and hasn't come to terms with his childhood. Money was abundant in his family, every dollar hard earned by his father. He'd chased his childhood dream of becoming a politician, risking everything to take out large loans for schooling. The payout had been huge, the countless months he'd put into his dream paying off as he grew wildly renowned and successful. With the money that he bought he ensured that his family would never endure the same poverty he'd experienced as a child. His mother had returned to schooling to finish a degree she'd put on pause to start a family. She aspired to become a teacher, her patient manner and love for children driving her. » Ty's father spent very little time with his family. Even after his job had become hugely lucrative, he'd never decreased the hours he'd worked. He was unwilling to slow his ascent in the political world to spend time with his son, nor his wife, much to the dismay of both of them. He spent countless hours locked in his office, managing every last detail, controlling every aspect that he could. Ty's father was a ghost, ever present, but always just out of his reach. » Despite his detachment, his father had no scarcity of his opinions. Perhaps his biggest fear was failing before he could truly achieve his full potential, as so many politicians before him did. He was determined to avoid any possible scandal, anything that could harm his name or reputation. Thus, he managed his family, just as he did his work. They dressed formally, constantly appearing in front of cameras and events to endorse him, or make small talk with his colleagues and peers. Often, his father would pick up for a business trip with little to no warning and disappear completely, not answering any form of communication. His mother silently grew resentful and cold behind closed doors, only a matter of time before she couldn't take it anymore. » Through it all, Ty was whoever his father wanted him to be. His father was hellbent on shaping him into the perfect son, needing someone to carry his legacy after him. Ty was far from what his father wanted, noncommittal, emotional, and ungrounded, and worst of all, he had no intention to succeed his father in the political world. All he truly wanted to pursue was art. Ty was subjected to constant criticism and verbal abuse, always feeling like he was disappointing or failing his father. Every new sport he couldn't excel at, every business education course he dropped out of, every step just a millimeter out of line, and his father was there to lay into him. Ty's anxiety became immeasurable, dreading every time he'd come home to his father, and eventually trying to run away three times. » It wasn't until his father forced him into baseball that any of his efforts on his son really took. At first, Ty was skeptical. He hadn't been good at any of the other sports he'd tried before, why would baseball be any different? He was pretty sure he'd just quit the sport without telling his father as he had before so many times. When he found out he'd be furious, no doubt, but when wasn't he? Maybe he'd make up an excuse about how he was too late in the season to join, couldn't keep up, so his father should pull him to save face. However, at the first game he attended, not even a week after he'd joined, Ty was put in the game in the final inning after one teammate was injured in a collision. He hit the winning home run, and everyone rushed onto the field to throw him on their shoulders. For the first time in his life, Ty felt like he'd done something right. Ty was obsessed from there on out, and his father was sated, even almost pleased at times as Ty's skill only kept growing. » Ty's father insisted that he go pro with baseball, but Ty resisted vehemently. Unable to bear her controlling husband anymore, his mother finally broke her peaceful persona. The fights that happened in hushed voices behind closed doors were loud, in the front hall, as soon as one of the two came home. Constantly, regardless of day or night. The shouting was so loud that nothing Ty tried could drown it out, his father growing angrier and angrier with each new conflict and accusation. All too many times, Ty picked up the pieces and served as the middle man between his parents. » Supposedly unsatisfied with the family that was already available to him, Ty's father started an affair with his secretary. Perhaps if he'd been more careful he could've gotten away with it, put fatefully, Ty was the one to learn of the affair. His father ensured he would never tell anyone what he saw, with a variety of threats and discipline. » The final straw was a fateful weekend that his mother left to take her final, which was to be proctored in person. Ty's father abandoned all good judgement and left Ty at a gas station while he met his secretary. By the time he returned, the sun had long since gone down. Furious, Ty confronted his dad as he drove home, demanding his father tell his mother about his affair or Tiberius would do it himself. Distracted, his father veered into the wrong highway lane, the car crashing into an eighteen wheeler and catching fire. Ty was trapped inside the car, and by the time he regained consciousness he had already been taken to the hospital. » The divorce that followed was messy, thousands of dollars spent on court costs. Eventually, Ty and his mother was awarded half of his father's fortune, full custody, and the car. Forced to pack their things and leave, Ty and his mother moved across the country to San Francisco and took back her maiden name, trying to get as far from their old life as possible. » Ty finished out high school in California. To stay close to his mother and help support her while she finished college and got her degree, he attended college on campus in California as well. It wasn't until he graduated college that he finally moved away from home, free to find his own identity. Unsure of where to go next, he decided to head to Sol City. No better place to make a name for yourself than a huge, growing city.
[sub]Color Code: 4d8bf0 | Art Credit: Princecanary | Font: Om Telolet Om[/sub]
