Because of this, he feels thankful for the opportunity he has, though he questions exactly why he was given this opportunity in the first place. Though despite that Jeralt is a hardworking and humble young man, his adoptive father never spoiled him and was rather tough on him, in a tough-love kinda way. Though Jeralt is a kind-hearted young man who tries to treat everyone equal despite their birth or race. Jeralt has a lot of untapped potential, most of which he doesn't even know about. He has abundant natural charisma, he inspires others through his words (Mostly unintentionally), and his confidence can also be contagious. Jeralt also possesses a strong moral compass or really a strong sense of justice, doing what he thinks is right despite what others think. Though even with these qualities Jeralt fails to see his own potential, even though he can see and even draw out the potential in others. Self-doubt often plagues him, constantly questioning his ability as a leader and even a student. Despite possesing the qualities of a great leader Jeralt still sees himself as an orphan with nothing to his name. Quirks: Rubbs the back of his neck when nervous, Rubbs chin when he's lost in thought Strengths: Physically fit, Charismatic, Never seems to give up, Perceptive Weaknesses: Lacks in political affairs, plagued with self-doubt, knows nothing about magic Domicile: Princeps, though he isn't exactly sure it's the right fit for him. Aspirations: Graduate from Erstwhile and live up to his adoptive father's expectations. Backstory: For most of his life Jeralt lived in an orphanage in the small city of Edgefield, a city which mostly grew wheat. Even in his early years Jeralt quickly became close with the other kids at the orphanage and it wasn't long before they all considered each other family. Life was somewhat peaceful for them, though seeing as they lived in a run-down orphanage the kids had to work hard for simple necessities like food and water, they often worked odd jobs around the city just to get a little bit of coin. Out of the kids, Jeralt was one of the hardest working, seeing as he was one of the oldest as well. Though through his hard work someone noticed Jeralt, and that person was the ruling lord of Edgefield, Lord Lionel Seymour, a quite famous general who had retired after the war. He was often called a demon by both his subordinates and enemies. Without a word, Lionel took Jeralt in (Who was around 10 at the time) and he began to educate the boy and teach him how to use a sword, despite his old age. He never told Jeralt why he took him in, often saying, "You'll figure it out someday." Once as Jeralt got older Lionel enrolled his adopted son into Erstwhile, specifically into the Principles Domicile. Extra Info: Possesses a steel sword given to him by Lionel, its design is modest but its craftsmanship is impeccable. A capable fighter, fights like a soldier with little grace.
