Chaos ensued all around him as the Hulk began to toss statues at Magneto, his team assaulting the King like a swarm of mosquitoes angering a giant. The sounds and crashes, coupled with the risk of ‘innocent’ lives, distracted Max enough not to noticed when Wanda took to the skies and landed by him. Her voice caught his attention as panick began to well up inside him. Was he truly ready for this fight? His head turned to meet her gaze, only enough to see her flick her wrist and knock him back against the ground. The impact sending a pressure into his chest as his shoulders began to hurt. ”Isn’t it obvious Wanda? I’m doing what you refuse to do, I’m doing what I was tasked to do. I’m fixing your mistake!” Max spoke, as he slowly got up, trying to regain some of his strength from the previous blow. He now stood there, eye to eye facing Wanda Maximoff. People often times thought of him as walking chaos but Wanda...she was the real chaos incarnate. Max took a deep breath, gathering himself before his hands cast off a swirl of particles. The circlular array hit the ground beneath her feet but found no purchase there as the portal failed to open. Panic. Max quickly thought to bind her, not wanting to shed any more blood than what was needed for today. His arms swept up as he tried to call the chains forth once more, just as he had done the previous day. He knew not if she was masterfully counteracting his magick with hers but those too failed to form and Max began to wonder if he picked the wrong fight. All that kept him going was the thought that, as long as he kept her busy, no one else would have to feel her wrath. Fine then. It was time to annoy another giant. Max pooled an orb of cosmic energy, a glowing array of blues, blacks, purples, and pinks, showing the unbridled power of the cosmos as he launched the blast towards her and hoped it would hit the same way she had hit him before. He watched as it nudged her back slightly but looking more like an inconvenience. ”I don’t want to fight you. I don’t want to hurt you either...I just want to make this right. That was a warning shot, please don’t do this.”
