Name: Gavroche Marmalage Alias: “The Royal Picker” Age: 11 Gender: Male Species: Human Class: Mid-Level Rogue and Courier (Non-combatative) Low-Level Entertainer Low-Level Housekeeper Low-Level Gardener
Like any grubby, little street urchin, Gavroche “Scamp” Marmalage wears baggy overalls and a loose cotton shirt. On his head, he wears a flat cap that’s a little bit too large for him. Just like his father, he has deep emerald eyes that makes him a little bit more distinct from your usual urchin (hence the oversized cap). His hair would be a lustrous golden if not for the fact that he’s completely dirty, head to toe and his entire clothing.

Sarcastic - Like mother like son. One thing he doesn’t love is criticizing the royalty and their inability to protect their people. He also loves to rant about the dragons for making the town a worse off place. Wit - He has prose to go along with his sarcasm, lovely. This wit also gets him out of trouble in both conversation and the alleys. Caring - To his mother and to his friends, he is very protective and caring. However, he hardly shows it in speech, instead showing his compassion through action. On occasion, he’s known to help out his fellow citizens despite sometimes stealing from them. Temper - He can get a little bit riled up when talking to a person of authority who does nothing to help his community. If he had a chance to talk with the king or one of the dragons, he probably wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to give them a piece of his mind.

His mother - Although it seems he pickpockets for fun, the real reason he steals is to support his mother, Marina. Because of her sickly deposition, he’s been scratching his earnings, legitimate or not, in order to get a doctor looked after her. His friends - Being one of the few unorphaned urchins, he does his best to support them as best as possible. He only wants the best for his group, especially the ones that have been orphaned.

As a very young child, Gavroche’s father died due to a shipwreck at sea. As a result, both he and his mother had to scrape a living by themselves, stealing for Gavroche and tailoring/seamstressing for Marina. Around the town, he’s gotten a mixed reputation with the residents. He steals from foreigners, trading or not. He often steals from visiting royalty, garning him the nickname “the Royal Picker” for his many and often successful attempts. On occasion, he is known to help out the community, on occasion.

Coins and pebbles - You never know when you need good chucking materials to get away. A throwing dagger - He staches this in a very special place. He’s been asking forever for one of the Gold Teeth members to teach him.

Small - Both a blessing and a curse. He might be able to slip through a small hole to run away, but if you catch him, he’s caught. Even a woman of reasonable constitution is able to pin him down. Combat - For the life of him, literally, he cannot fight back. All he can do squirm around, kick, punch, poke eyes, thrash around to get away. Boxing his ears is the best way to disarm him. Temper - If one of his friends gets attacked, he goes absolutely ballistic. He can’t do much, though, because of his small size. Taste for Mischief and Eavesdropping - What can be expected of an urchin? However, this taste can sometimes lead Gavroche into things a lot larger than himself...

Marina Marmalage (Mother) - On the outside, the relationship seems rather shaky and bickering. However, on the inside, it’s rock solid. His mother would always argue with him about stealing. The altercations were constant. Eventually, they made a deal. Under no circumstances Gavroche was not to attend any of the “friendly gatherings” or larger heists of the Gold Teeth. Whenever something is stolen from Marina, Gavroche does as much as he can to get it back. He understands how much his mother worries about him, and he’s not resentful for it at all. Gold Teeth - He has a slightly more business-like relationship with the Gold Teeth but a friendly one to say the least. On commission, he does courier and pickpocketing work for the Gold Teeth. He does, however, refuse any request made on any of the locals. He doesn’t attend their friendly gatherings (due to the agreement and a few sore ears). On occasion, he does ask the Gold Teeth to help out his mother. Despite their dislike for his mother, they do help him because he’s such a regular helper. The Urchins - Although he’s not exactly the leader, he is considered a “team dad” to the group. Without too much complaining, he usually complies with groups shenanigans. Whenever he requests something, however, the small group of seven will usually comply with his requests.

Get his mother a doctor and hopefully some medicine! Become a rogue like one of the thieves at the Gold Teeth Steal a single coin from one of the dragons and then return it without their knowing. If possible, have the dragons know someone stole the coin and then return it without their knowing. And if by the slightest chance, steal a coin and keep it as a secret trophy without the dragons knowing.
Goals you would like for Pigeon Spit: A place where he and his friends can have an easier time living (and at the very least, create more business for the picking).
He does go to the temple with his mother on the days of rest. He usually dislikes it for various reasons but is appreciative of their help for his Mother. He never targets any of the locals unless his mother or urchin group is in need. He’s visited the Gold Teeth hideout and knows all the hidden passages that even the Gold Teeth don’t know about. This goes for a great many other houses as well, but keeps these a secret to everyone except his urchin friends. He does make it clear not to steal anything lest any of their hiding spots mysteriously “disappear” after the burglary. He heard from his mother that his father did have a knack for swords...
