Gender: Male Race: Demon

Personality: The mischievous problem child of the Demon Realm, Ponzu loves to pull pranks on people, most especially the grandstanding serious types. He enjoys the grim satisfaction of chopping egos down with some good old public humiliation. He does not respect anybody he doesn’t like, which is usually predicated by his own list of odd and whimsical virtues. History: Ponzu is the son of Great Demon Blacksmith, Sichuan, who forges weapons and armor for the most powerful warriors in the realm. The young demon outright refuses to inherit his father’s legacy. He finds smithing to be a boring waste of time. He’d much rather use weapons for himself, not make them for other people! Even still, Sichuan hoped his son would reconsider. He gave Ponzu the Hell Hammer, a special forge tool he crafted himself, as a way to entice him into the profession. Made from a rare element of another dimension, the Hell Hammer can harness and manipulate all types of energy into creating whatever weapon or armor the user can imagine. It didn’t take long for Ponzu to abuse its power. With his wild imagination, he created all sorts of weapons and armor, then used them to wreak havoc across the Demon Realm. Gifting his son with such a powerful tool is one of Sichuan’s biggest regrets. He tried to stop his antics by taking back the hammer, but the enchanted tool was bound to Ponzu, and Ponzu wasn't going to give it back. Sichuan grew impatient. With his reputation on the line, he disowned his only child. No longer feeling welcomed in his own realm, Ponzu decided to run away for good. With the help of his best friend, Cogo, the two demon kids found a portal into the Living World. They entered without hesitation. Ponzu and Cogo immediately began terrorizing victims for sheer entertainment, pulling pranks on anyone, wherever they went. The problematic pair were eventually drawn toward an area that was teeming with dark energy. The place turned out to be a secret hideout for a large thieve’s guild. Ponzu and Cogo haunted the compound for days. In the midst of their juvenile shenanigans, they discovered that the thieves were searching for powerful artifacts called dragon balls. Ponzu drooled at the idea of having any wish come true, but he had trouble figuring out which one he'd pick. He enjoyed the Living World very much, but he realized he'd enjoy it a whole lot more as its conqueror, along with Cogo, serving as his right hand demon. Collecting all of the dragon balls to make that wish a reality seemed a whole lot easier than trying to take over the world themselves. They surmised that powerful items like the dragon balls had to be in possession of powerful people; If not, then they'd at least have an idea of their whereabouts. After interrogating a thief about the Living World, Ponzu and Cogo headed toward the place where the strongest fighters in the world gathered for combat. “To The Tenkaichi Budokai Tournament!!!” The demonic duo high-fived with excitement. Unfortunately for them, the tournament was still a year away. So to kill time, they've randomly gone around in search of strong fighters, hoping to gain more knowledge on the dragon balls. Techniques: “Negative Vibes Only, Man!” This is a passive technique that activates when dark energy manifests itself through people’s negative thoughts and emotions. It serves as a fountain of energy that Ponzu draws from to channel his attacks. ”Portal Punk Rock!” This technique allows Ponzu to create small dimensional portals within a limited radius. ”Batter Up, Loser!” Ponzu can redirect projectile energy blasts with the Hell Hammer like a bat swinging at a baseball. The more powerful the energy blast, the more difficult it is to nail the swing, but a successful hit could have it flying right back at its pitcher! “Look What I Can Make!” The moment the Hell Hammer makes impact against an energy source, Ponzu can manipulate it into any melee weapon or armor piece he can think of. These creations usually last within minutes, sometimes seconds, depending on the strength of the energy source. He isn't much of a fighter, and isn't even that great at being evil. However, what he lacks in demonic warrior aptitude, he more than makes up for with advanced cognition. Cogo has an amazing photographic memory. It allows him to perform most non-powered, complex tasks, immediately after witnessing someone do them. He can also recall pertinent details about everything he's ever read, seen, or heard without delay. Growing up in the Demon Realm was tough for Cogo. He was picked on a lot because of his shortcomings as a fighter, and was teased and harassed almost everywhere he went. Cogo was getting bullied by a group of teen demons one day, when, out of nowhere, Ponzu leaped in and stared beating the bullies up with his Hell Hammer. The two hit it off immediately. They teamed up and went on a relentless revenge spree, pranking and beating up on all of the demons that gave Cogo grief for being himself. The bonding experience made the two inseparable, and remain best friends to this day.
