Scattered around the Earth, the legends say that whosoever can gather them together, they need only to call forth the mighty dragon that sleeps within and he will grant them any wish their heart desires. No records exist of anyone ever summoning the Dragon, but myths surrounding the Balls can be found in multiple cultures, lending credence to their legitimacy. But the Dragon Balls are not Earth's only legend. In fact it has a rich history of warriors and martial arts masters. Even in the modern day, the Martial Arts are revered with a tournament that is only held once every three years called the Tenkaichi Budokai. As that name suggests, it is a tournament held to determine who is the Strongest Under the Heavens. But the Earth is about to learn that they are not alone in the Universe. In another Galaxy, a race of warriors called the Saiyans make a name for themselves on a galactic scale. Craving battle, they became known for roaming planet to planet, each conquered by only one or two Saiyans at a time at most. But they are few in number, their home planet lost to a disastrous meteor strike five years ago. What remains of the race is a handful of survivors under the command of one who calls himself their King. Their invasion of other planets is an effort to find a new world suitable for them to make a new home. In all of this, a pair of Saiyans find themselves eying the Earth itself. Their Scouter devices have alerted them to several individuals with high battle power residing on the planet. But rather than approach this cautiously, they instead have decided to see this as a challenge to test their mettle as proud warriors. And they may also have come to Earth in pursuit of another goal as well.

Prologue

Arrival! The Mysterious Saiyan Warriors!
The sun was bright, and the morning was reaching its end. It was approximately 11:30 AM when a trio of small objects began their descent into the Earth's atmosphere. They were round, perfectly spherical in shape, only large enough for a single person to fit inside and each had a small window that could allow one to peer inside. The alien alloy that the pods were made of protected their hulls from the heat caused by their friction with the atmosphere. This also protected their occupants as the pods each crashed down onto the ground below, with all three resting at the center of their own small impact crater. The location was one of the Earth's many vast wildernesses outside of the cities. This particular location was southeast of the main continent among an archipelago of islands, the pods having all landed on one of the larger islands. There was no civilization for miles, but even so the arrival of the objects could at the very least have been seen from several miles away. One by one, the three pods opened with a hissing sound followed by sounds other computerized machinery designed to awaken the occupants from their temporary stasis. Hands grabbed for the edge of the hatch openings as the armored figures emerged from their vehicles. One was muscular and with an imposing figure, having no hair on his head but instead a rugged black beard on his face. His armor appeared well-worn, even appearing to have one of its shoulder parts broke off in a previous battle. His upper arms were bare and his hands covered by some kind of fingerless gauntlets. His legs were also largely bare save for the boots on his feet and skin-tight that looked similar to a pair of spandex shorts. The parts of his skin that were visible were grizzled and in many places scarred, most notably a large scar on his forehead and the bridge of his nose. The second figure was a younger man, his figure not as tall but very well toned. His own armor looked somewhat scuffed but not as worn as first man. He possessed no facial hair, instead having an exaggerated feauxhawk of sorts that appeared to split into 3 large hair spikes. His suit covered more of his skin, indeed covering all of his arms and legs. And his gloves and boots appeared to be white and made of a rubber material rather than some form of armored material like the other man's was. And finally, the third of the visitors was instead small, appearing to be a child of some kind. The second visitor closed his eyes and took in a long whiff of the air on the planet, "Finally... those damn pods can give you such a killer leg cramp." he declared, having begun stretching his muscles like someone getting out of bed in the morning. As for the second man, he said nothing. With stoic composure, he retrieved from his pod a glass vile filled with seeds of some kind. Without any words he began meticulously burying the seeds in the ground, "Really? You're gonna give all the fun to the Saibamen? C'mon, Jagen, the power level readings weren't that high." this finally elicited a response from the stoic Jagen, who at first gave his younger counterpart a stern look before speaking. "There's still only three of us, Korun." he then kept up with his work he spoke further, "The Saibamen will allow us to cover more ground in our search, and act as a suitable test for the warriors of this planet. If they can't even best the Saibamen, then they were never worth our time to fight directly." Korun smirked, unafraid of showing his Saiyan arrogance, "And if they just so happen to flush Negi out of hiding, all the better, is that what you're getting at?" he sounded a bit disappointed, but already knew that he had no counterargument. As usual, Jagen's logic was frustratingly sound. The guy used to be one King Daikon's most trusted officers for a reason, after all. Still, Korun walked over to the shore of the island and dipped his hands into the water in order to wash it over his face and cool it off. After this he sat down on the and laid his head back on his hands, "Whatever. Wake me when the action starts." After planting a dozen seeds, Jagen stood back up. He stepped back a bit order to watch the results of his work take form. There was movement coming from under the ground, and then green figures emerged from the soil. Their bodies were varying shades of green, their heads bulbous and their faces looking impish and flashing fanged smiles. They were very small in stature, no larger than a child, and their hands only seemed to posses three clawed fingers with a similar number of toes on their feet. They didn't speak, only seeming to communicate using high pitched growls and shrieks. Jagen nodded his head in an approving manner, "Good. Now go and seek out the strongest warriors you can find. Let them have a taste of what's to come." without much of a response, all of the Saibamen suddenly powered and took off into the sky before scattering in various directions. "And now... we wait. Yay." said Korun from his spot at the shore, with an obvious lack of enthusiasm in his tone. [@mattmanganon][@Headhunter][@Chev][@Senseless][@Weird Tales]
