Backstory: Alanis was born on the edge of the United Human Kingdoms because the pack her parents led were being attacked because of a pack feud, but the other pack got back-up from the elves, so her parents fled north to seek aid from the humans. Her father was killed holding off the horde, and her mother was getting water after Alanis was born when the baby was captured. Alanis' mother was still weak from the birth labor, too weak to fight off the other wolves. Alanis' mother hid in the Human Kingdoms, disguised as a human, while Alanis prepared to lead the remnants of the pack against the enemy. When it got to the climax of the battle, most turned tail, leaving Alanis to be captured and tortured. Eventually, Alanis escaped, vowing justice for her parents and her dissipated pack, with only the tattoo she was marked with as an infant left of her parents.
