[@Ellri] The price to go down the well is 1gp, and for future reference it takes about 10 turns to get down to the first floor of the Dungeon. 

Paying 2gp just means you've already paid to come back up if/when you need to. Otherwise Durnan lowers a bucket for payment, raises the bucket, and then lets you up ;)
