Here's my idea! Yes, it is kind of Narnia-inspired or from other movies with similar plots but I tried to make it my own. It's not the most unique but I think it's really fun. Their sun is very different than one in the Earthly dimension. Its pink color gives the sky a very light pink hue. Mushrooms the size of trees and trees that seem to touch the top of the sky cover the planet. Various colors beautify the forests and the lights of pixies illuminate the paths through them. Castles perched upon mountains and villages upon valleys exist as you may have imagined in fairytales. After all, those fairytale writers got their ideas from somewhere, right? If they had told everyone that, who would believe them? There had been a time humans from Earth were very welcome in Avalia. Elves have the powerful ability to manipulate light magic, often opening up random rifts in the dimension that would suck in random humans from the other. Humans were allowed to explore and exchange knowledge from the dimensions while creatures from Avalia traveled to the other dimension to sneak peeks at Earth. Humans showed them castles, buildings, the English Language, food and anything available ranging from medieval times to the Victorian Era. Humans even brought over species of animals as gifts. However, these select humans that were allowed to dimension travel were sworn to secrecy with their lives on the line. If you had seen so many wondrous things, wouldn't you have been itching to tell someone? They were given permission to write what they had seen into stories, which others then took a liking to the themes and also incorporated into their stories. Thus, reality became a myth. Then a dark elf named Aklenroth took his tyrant rule over the entire world about one hundred years ago as he ascended into a lich, an undead creature that resulted from his strives for eternal life. Where there is light, there is also darkness. Elves who wielded darkness were very rare and in ancient times were considered the root of evil. He had existed for years, continuously learning and becoming more powerful as he learned ways to harness more and more magic until he came too powerful for others to deny. He gathered other dark elves, orcs, and other menacing beings until he had such a formidable army that Avalia was at his knees. Because it had been discovered that humans that travel to the land gain powerful abilities, he had them ruled forbidden. Anyone who denied Aklenroth in any way was quickly enslaved or killed. Avalia lives in fear. Humans have not set foot in Avalia since he claimed the world. However, those tired of his cruel tyranny have been forming together. Elves have started to open rifts again, that would take in any random human they open by on Earth, desperate for help. The only issue is, where the humans come through into the Avalia is also random. Appearance-wise, they look very close to humans. Their irises tend to differ slightly. Unusual hair and eye colors are very common. Their wings tend to be wispy and thin but also vary in look and color. Their ears sometimes can look similar to elf ears, pointed but most of the time much smaller than elf ears. Male fairies tend to grow horns from their head. They tend to be absolutely beautiful in appearance. They age well and live double the life of a human. They dress in light-weight clothes, often incorporating leaves and flowers into their fashion as they absolutely adore nature. The women never wear pants or shorts as it is impolite in their culture. Women are always in some sort of skirt or dress. They never wear closed-toe shoes and always go toward sandal-type footwear. Fairies flourish in warm environments with the exception of winter fairies. Winter fairies are much rarer and an endangered species that live up in cold regions. They are able-bodied for their cold but still tend to dress in warmer gear. The women wear long dresses with warm socks underneath and boots in those groups. They have the old-age belief that males are to be the fighters and women the caretakers. Women raise the young, tend to crops and practice their healing abilities on their own kind and often other creatures. Men tend to practice more offensive magic that utilizes the nature around them and train to protect their kind. It was very often that fairies were called into battle before Aklenroth's reign as they were excellent warriors despite their peaceful demeanor and culture. Fairies are what keep forests alive. Their magic helps the flora and fauna grow and prosper. They are nature's caretakers. They can manipulate nature at will but it is something that must be learned from their younger years, being able to twist and control a vine at will if need be. They also are excellent at communicating with animals. They have the ability to heal wounds at will but cannot reverse death. The endangered breed of winter fairies can manipulate ice and snow around them whilst retaining their healing ability. A new breed of a fairy called dark fairies may be arising. Aklenroth has created breeding efforts to create more creatures with the ability to control dark magic as it is one of the most powerful magic there is. He has been trying to breed fairies and dark elves, also an endangered species, to create powerful fairies that could assist him. It is unknown if he has been successful. Pixies are teeny-tiny fairies that look like fireflies. These are unplayable since they are too small to even communicate. However, they do exist and are commonplace in wooded areas. They tend to dress in clothes that are comfortable for battle and travel. They have civilizations but many feel happy to go off on their own or into battle. Those that stay in civilizations have a love for music, technology, and art. There are elves with many different skills including acting, inventing, and even engineering. There are no gender roles as there are in the fairies. Females are expected to learn to fight as much as males are. Elves are much more competitive and common in battle than fairies. They tend to reside in forest areas as well. They do not create villages in cold areas but will explore there if properly dressed, as they are a very adventurous species. They also speak English well. Dark elves are becoming more common. Elves with malevolent or darker personalities tend to have their negativity manifest in their energy and in their power. Full demi-humans look like anthropomorphic animals. Half demi-humans have more human in them mostly ending up with animal ears, tails, and claws. For example, a centaur is a human with a horse lower body. A mermaid is also an example of a demi-human, with a human upper half and tail lower half. There are cases of humans with large, bird-like wings that some refer to as angels as well as humans with cat-ears, cat-like pupils and senses. Half-dragon humans exist as well. Besides mermaids that reside in water in warm climates, most live in large cities designated for demi-humans. Because of their range of different abilities they are excellent architects. They build huge cities usually in hilly-areas away from everyone since many species look down on demi-humans in disgust, seeing them as lesser beings. Half-human, half-animal creatures surprisingly are very civilized and human-like, speaking English and having a range of talented writers, artists and such, depending on the species. They have the best technology as well. Some enjoy being in the forest or away from civilization but many live rather mundane lives. For example, Beelzebub himself exists and controls flies. Most ordinary humanoid humans just control dark magic though well-known creatures such as Succubuses specialize in seduction. Due to this being a broad category, you may bring in a type of demon but it will have to be approved to make sure you are not overpowered. They are often hateful towards other species and mischevious. Many enjoy Aklenroth's reign and respect him. They are also not high in the population at all. Many demons respect a very powerful demon named Lilith as their mother. They are so aggressive that they often fight each other and will try to eat other smaller beings. Aklenroth takes use of some of them at times. They can be found in most areas of the planet and have intelligence enough to dress warmer in colder climates. Orcs are very primitive. They do not use much technology but know how to create shelter for themselves and clothes. They understand some English and can communicate very little. They stay in large hoards, but are not loyal to even each other. They live solely for battle and war. Orcs often tame large beasts to ride them or use them in battle. Their stash of weaponry is rather impressive for their lack of knowledge, using weapons such as axes and swords. They tend not to be the best looking. They are huge in size with a minimum height of 8 feet tall. They have large noses and huge teeth. Their aroma is often rather foul. [u][b]Their best characteristics are their fighting skills, their strength and their size. Their body is also pretty good for enduring quite a few hits. Their weaknesses are their lack of intelligence, their lack of speed and their disloyalty to even each other. These creatures are bound to their necromancer until the latter dies. 🌑 A revenant has no memory of their lives. However, they do have a free will and full understanding of their surroundings. Despite this, a revenant is forced to obey their master until the latter passes on. 🌑 These creatures are most often used as bodyguards. 🌑 To create a revenant, several life sacrifices are required. 🌑 Among Necromancers, making a Revenant is considered an incredible feat, but one which takes its toll. 🌑 Owning a Revenant is a symbol of power, but the creature can be incredibly unstable. 🌑 Due to the large pool of components, some would claim that the myriad of weaknesses afforded a Revenant simply isn't worth the hassle. 🌑 Those who do, however, manage to create a perfect Revenant, will have an eternal guard at their side. 🌑 Even then, only a fool would consider a Revenant's weaknesses an afterthought, as a Necromancer's hard work could very well be for naught. 🌑 The immensely dark powers conjured forth to create a Revenant is the very same energy they are composed of. 🌑 These dark energies, known as Pure Necromancy, are what keep the Revenant alive, and also, what grants them powers of their own. 🌑 Neither a sword-swinging reanimated corpse nor a brute, the Revenant does not fulfill either of these roles. 🌑 Rather, the Revenant is a spellcaster and only a spellcaster. 🌑 To be more precise, they are wielders of the dark arts, a caster to complement their master. 🌑 Necromancers dubbed their creation's ability Necrokinesis. 🌑 The very same power which keeps these creatures alive, is the power they use as if magic. 🌑 In contrast to this, a Revenant's body is weak, and fragile. 🌑 They do not use weapons, as they can barely carry the things. 🌑 They are rare, indeed, and as such, Necromancers to tend to care for their creations, simply due to reasons related to resources. 🌑 Now, the greatest flaw of a Revenant, the one thing Necromancers are currently attempting to configure, is their creation's sentience. 🌑 Though they are bound to a Necromancer and unable to withstand an order, they maintain their full cognitive brains, and personality, which is considered a major inconvenience. [color=#b18f71][u][b]Appearance[/b][/u][/color] 🌒 Revenants are pale and possess black eyes. 🌒 They are scrawny, and somewhat sickly looking. 🌒 A Revenant has small claws at the end of their fingers, rather than ordinary nails. 🌒 Additionally, a Revenant has sharp, pointy teeth. 🌒 If a Revenant was to open their mouths, it does not require a keen eye to spot the jet black insides. 🌒 Their sharp, white teeth are even more visible, due to the abyssal black hidden beyond, which includes their tongues. 🌒 Chalk white skin, completely black pupils and equally black nails on both hands and feet warrant a disguise wherever the creature goes. 🌒 Upon speaking, it is clear that a Revenant possesses some kind of otherworldly presence, as their quiet, raspy voices are ghostly in nature. 🌒 Those with the ability sense undeath would be able to spot a Revenant clearly, and easily, as if a beacon of dark powers. 🌒 If one was to cut a Revenant, it would be clear that their blood is black. [color=b18f71][b][i]Weaknesses and Powers described below.[/i][/b][/color] [hider=🌑 Necrokinesis] [img]https://i.imgur.com/gGxdTNJ.png[/img] 🌑 The Revenant possesses a peculiar ability which allows them to cause necrosis in organic matter. 🌑 With this power, the creatures can act much like a virus, or infestation, where they can infect an individual with a withering plague. 🌑 This causes the victim to suffer an effect similar to that of necrosis where organic matter withers, ages, and rots. 🌑 This ability is clearly visible upon use, where black-colored smoke manifests itself. 🌑 Additionally, The Revenant can use this ability in another way, described below. [img]https://i.imgur.com/ZcVPjYY.png[/img] [color=#b18f71][b]Necrotic Manifestations[/b][/color] 🌑 Much like the conjuring of ice and fire, The Revenant is able to concentrate their ability into a dangerous force of necrotic energy. 🌑 The more power put into the use of their powers, the more rapid the necrosis spreads and takes hold, much like a burn. 🌑 The ability forces organic matter to rot and withering like a flower. 🌑 It is a gut-wrenching sight for those unused to such, indeed. 🌑 The energy will damage any organic tissue it comes in contact with immediately upon impact, and will seep through fabric. [color=#b18f71][b]Necrotic Body[/b][/color] 🌑 Like every undead, a Revenant does not age. 🌑 Their bodies remain the same throughout time, unless something manages to strip them of the dark powers residing within. [color=#b18f71][b]Necrotic Puppet[/b][/color] 🌑 Upon using their powers, The Revenant is able to infect a dead brain with their virus-like ability, taking control of a corpse. 🌑 This newly reanimated puppet can perform simple tasks, and follows mentally projected instructions given by its master. 🌑 If the brain stem is damaged, these husks promptly die, and cannot be animated again. 🌑 While too braindead to feel pain, they are by no means immune to damage. 🌑 These puppets have the same physical aptitude that they had in life, but cannot use any mental or energy-based powers they might have had. 🌑 Neither can they use any form of magic, or advanced weaponry. [img]https://i.imgur.com/yUV55c8.png[/img] [color=#b18f71][b]Necrotic Curse[/b][/color] 🌕 Though their powers render them immune to biological degeneration, a Revenant's ability constantly saps their mortal frame of energy which renders them perpetually tired, fatigued and weak. 🌕 This also prevents The Revenant from gaining weight, or building muscle as their powers would drain them of both. 🌕 In effect, this leaves the Necrokinetic fragile, and unfit for physical endeavors. [b][color=#b18f71]Necrotic Skin[/color][/b] 🌕 The sun is not an ally, for The Revenant. 🌕 In fact, if exposed to it, their eyes will start hurting, and they will feel a similar pain in their pale skin. 🌕 Due to this, The Revenant must be fully covered if they go outside during the day. 🌕 Additionally, The Revenant finds it difficult to concentrate when exposed to sunlight, making it very hard for them to use their powers. [color=#b18f71][b]Necrotic Thralls[/b][/color] 🌕 Just like The Revenant themselves, their puppets are weak to the sun. 🌕 Unless the puppets are fully covered, the sun will actually melt them. 🌕 Any exposed skin hit by sunlight will immediately burn off. [color=#b18f71][b]Shunned[/b][/color] 🌕 Not a direct weakness of their powers, but rather a social stigma. 🌕 Those who do not view The Revenant with hatred, would view them with fear, even amongst other deviants, and monsters. [color=#b18f71][b]Unhallowed[/b][/color] 🌕 The Revenant's powers are completely and entirely ineffective against non-organic matter. [color=#b18f71][b]Purity[/b][/color] 🌕 They cannot touch silver, without the substance burning their skin. [color=#b18f71][b]Divinity[/b][/color] 🌕 Entering a place of divine worship could be considered suicide, for The Revenant. 🌕 If they find themselves in one of these structures, they will start feeling immensely sick. 🌕 While in a place of divine worship, The Revenant cannot use their powers. 🌕 The longer they spend within the area, the sicker they will get, until The Revenant eventually dies. 🌕 Holy water functions like acid against a Revenant, and will cause severe burns. [color=#b18f71][b]Prayer[/b][/color] 🌕 The sound of religious scripture functions like incredibly annoying and headache-inducing soundwaves against The Revenant. 🌕 Powerful priests can even lock a Revenant in place with this. [color=#b18f71][b]Faith[/b][/color] 🌕 Holy symbols cause discomfort, for The Revenant. 🌕 The closer they get to them, the worse the effects. [color=#b18f71][b]Celestial Magic[/b][/color] 🌕 Divine powers are incredibly dangerous to Revenants, and can instantly destroy them. 🌕 Whether from a blessed weapon, a saint's divine relic, or celestial magic, any wound caused by these powers will be most grievous and they will never heal. 🌕 Dark magic is required to heal wounds caused by this level of divine power. [color=#b18f71][b]Mortal Coils[/b][/color] 🌕 Though a Revenant is undead, they require sleep, or fatigue will cause them to faint. 🌕 A Revenant cannot eat, and if they choose to do so, they will vomit the food in an incredibly painful manner. 🌕 Wounds heal at the same pace as any mortal, unless dark magic is used to heal a Revenant. [color=#b18f71][b]Undeath[/b][/color] 🌕 As is the case for undead, what would heal a mortal would only cause damage to a Revenant. 🌕 On the flip side, dark energies heal them. [color=#b18f71][b]Necrosage[/b][/color] 🌕 Apart from their powers, a Revenant is only able to cast spells from the school of Necromancy. 🌕 No other schools of magic to speak of.
