Saudagrimm - East City
[sup]Color = Firebrick[/sup]
Like many other things Saudagrimm had come to discover since arriving on planet Earth, his opinion on the inhabitants were quite mixed. Especially one little one that regularly got on his nerves. Right at this very moment, even. "YIP! YIP! YIP!" The sound of tin tearing preceded the alien's attempt to calm the small, scruffy dog. "Sit still, Toshi." he asserted as he held out his free hand flatly towards the animal, his voice stern as his Sensei had taught him. Toshi tilted his head, before letting out a series of more barks - earning a sigh from Saud. He emptied the can he held into a bowl, or rather on top of it; the pile of food was towering over the brim of the dish. He set the bowl down for Toshi to start his meal, before wandering out of the kitchen, in search of his Sensei. Living room? Nope. Bedroom? Nope. It wasn't irregular for him to check a few rooms before finally finding his Sensei's location, despite the small footprint of the home - the old man was the best he'd ever met at concealing his Ki. The only place left was the garden. A moment before his hand reached the handle, the thin door slid open. "Good morning, Young Dajin." a voice greeted, almost instantly. Saudagrimm shifted to the side before bowing lightly, "Good morning, Sensei." His brow furrowed at the use of the nickname. He knew the old man was aware of the fact that he didn't like nicknames, but he teased him with it anyway. The alien could've sworn there was a faint grin as he passed by his pupil. Saud followed him down the hall. "Master Tymui, do you have any plans for training today?" There was a pause as they entered the kitchen, the older man looking down at Toshi, who was lying belly-up on the floor next to his empty bowl, seeming quite satisfied. "You over-fed him, again." he said as he approached the cupboard and started rummaging through it. "O-oh...uh..Sor-" Saud began, before a box of dry noodles pegged him in the back of the head, as he had turned towards the TV in the living room. "-ow..." he stooped to pick them up, tossing them on the counter. "And, yes. I plan on training with Raijin later." the old master responded. "..Why? You want some more training?" he said, his eyebrow raised as he peeked out from inside the cupboard, his tone clearly amused. "You could barely stand two nights ago." Saud looked at his Sensei with crossed arms. "I recover fast." he said matter-of-factly, with the faintest hint of a smirk on his lips. "Oh, I know. Which is why I think it could do you some good to spar with someone more your speed. Hmmm...Raijin, perhaps?" he offered as his liver spotted hands gathered the tools necessary to create his semi-famous Ramen. "Um, well I uh- I don't think-" Ding, Dong, Ding. "Great! It's settled then. You and Raijin will have a great time; I'm sure of it." Tymui said with a devilish grin peaking out of his long, white beard. Saud groaned as he went to the door and opened it. "Hello-" "Greetings, Saudish." Came a strong, but sly voice. "-Raijin..."
Saudagrimm -&- Raijin "Alright, gentlemen. I want a good, clean fight." Now they stood in an open field. A large clearing with light grass, surrounded by a thin line of trees. Saudagrimm and Raijin stood opposite one another, about twenty feet apart. Master Tymui sat probably ten yards off to the side, resting comfortably in a lawn chair topped with an umbrella, while chowing down on a bowl of noodles. Being that they didn't want to damage anything, the three had to walk a ways off from the edge of town, where the master and Saudagrimm resided. Here, they wouldn't have to worry about collateral. "When I say go, you will go. Got it?" "Yes Sensei." "Yes, Master." "Alright then! 5...4...3.." Saudagrimm found himself somewhat concerned for the outcome of his fight with Raijin. They'd fought only a couple of times before, but it had never been one-on-one. Only when their Master had held sort of "Training games" with multiple of his pupils had they opposed each other. And when they had, the alien learned the Raijin was fast. Really fast. Despite being slight bulkier than Saud. Normally in those games, Saudagrimm was ahead of almost everyone else who attended - but Raijin was always a whisker-width away. "GO!" Neither of them moved. They stared at each other, watching every muscle for a sign of a twitch. Saud sensed him move before he saw it. He raised both his arms to each side in order to block what he could, and fortunately caught Raijin's shin on his forearm, preventing a kick aimed at his ribs. "Impressive, Sau-" the human was swiftly interrupted by Saud's arm turning to grasp his leg and slam his opponent's body into the ground. "-ack!" Then Raijin was gone. Saud had felt no resistance from his grasp, one moment his opponent was on the ground, the next - vanished. Soon enough though, he felt a limb strike him in the back and send him sprawling forward. He rolled into the dirt and ended in a crouched position, looking up to see Raijin dusting his hands with a smirk. "You got lucky, but it won't happen again." his muscles tensed as his opponent stood, before he appeared in Saud's face again. He threw a barrage of punches at Saud's stomach and face regions, trying to throw them in unpredictable patterns, and at great speed. Saud reacted as fast as he could, trying to block the punches at quickly as his brain allowed - but Raijin was a good deal faster than him, and punches got through every fourth strike or so. A jab hit him straight to the jaw and he staggered, earning him a forearm to the side of the head. He went stumbling, Raijin closing the short distance again to attack, but one of Saud's arms shot out at his opponent, even outside of his peripheral vision. Two of his fingers jabbed Raijin in the chest and the human stiffened immediately, letting out a yelp. Saud faced him and attacked his opponent with a combo of three jabs, two to the stomach and one to the face, sending him sprawling into the dirt. Raijin groaned after a moment, his vision returned. "What some say is true...your punch is that of a dozen.." he breathed as he licked blood off his lip. What he said wasn't far off. Being that Saudagrimm focused much more on being defensive, performing many quick attacks against his opponent wasn't something he could really fit into his style. So he substituted. Each attack used more Ki than one would think, and hit much harder than a standard practitioner's punch - but he made a lot less of them; so the Ki usage about evened out. Saud looked at him with the same calculating expression he normally had - regardless of how excited he was on the inside. He was holding well, it seemed. He remained in place as his opponent regained his stance, Raijin tensing his muscles to charge again. "Wait." Saud jumped out of his skin, almost. Master Tymui was standing right next to him. "Master? What is it? Did I do something-" "Listen!" There was a long pause, where both Saudagrimm and Raijin reached out to feel the world around them. There. They all turned towards the same direction. "There's someone coming towards us. Quickly." Their master warned, a furrowed brow showing his curiosity.
