“Immunity but only if I don’t get you killed, hmm… tempting. Tempting…” Settling himself in the car he looked over ensuring she was all set to go before he started to drive once more. Windshield wipers going full force to combat the rain so he could see whilst driving, fingers tapped against the wheel once more as he went the usual route. Thankfully there wasn’t much traffic around so the journey was seemingly smooth, slowing down at a red light he couldn’t help the sigh that escaped his lips. Evan could be quite impatient especially when it came to traffic lights, he always swore they were against him. If anyone asked, he was cursed by traffic lights, always turning red as he approached, it was a clear exaggeration, but he would always swear by it. “I’ll try not to worry; I know you can handle yourself however I’d be lying if I didn’t say Damian did scare me, but that happens with every leader I suppose.” Evan smiled as he kept his eyes on the road, making a turn his finger tapped in time with the indicator as they reached a national speed limit. Speeding up along the road it wouldn’t take them much longer to reach the home, he was still careful whilst driving especially with the adverse weather, but he didn’t want to delay anymore. Even though he had suggested getting some food he was uneasy with the idea of getting caught not doing as asked. Checking the time, he could see it was quite late, he knew deep down Rowan had been right. Something had happened to them else they would have received quite an angry call asking why they had not done as asked already. Indicating once more he slowed the car down as he approached her home, pulling up to a stop he grinned seeing there was no other car in the drive, but of course that meant he had been wrong. “Alright, alright… go on say, I told you so.” Locking up the car once more he moved quickly into the house avoiding the rain, shrugging off his coat he placed it on the coat rack brushing himself down as he wiped his feet drying them. Rubbing his arms to warm up from the chill he glanced over at Rowan, “Right you sort out the room, I’ll put the kettle on and then give you a hand.” -- Hearing him step towards her she went to say something but was caught off guard when he placed his hand against her back, she could feel the warmth and it wasn’t something she had been expecting. If she was honest, she had expected him to be cruel, to be furious with her at the attempt of escaping and she was quite confused at how reasonable he was being. For a fleeting moment she had questioned on if it would really be that bad, but she pushed that thought to the back of her mind and listened to what he had to say. It was hard to hide the way her eyes lit up at the mention of a few things remaining the same, it was nice to know that regardless of her whole life changing there could be the few things that wouldn’t change. Nodding at the idea of getting out of the rain to save falling ill she picked herself up letting him guide her back to the car. It was hard not ignore the sickly feeling in her stomach, but she put that down to the nerves of the unknown. Moving back inside the car she let out a shaky breath, the damp of her clothes painfully sticking to her, cooling her body temperature. Shivering slightly as she put on her seat belt she glanced at her hands, eyes focusing on the cut and fresh grazes from the fall. Fingers began to make grabbing motions as she tested on if it caused any pain for her, it was only a slight stinging sensation, so it was nothing too bad. Coughing from the rain and cold she looked out of the window seeing the lights of streetlamps fly by, she didn’t know what to say to him. Her good hand tapped against the window in a world of her own before she finally turned to look at Damian, “I…” Sighing as she looked away back out the window of the car, she didn’t know what to say. A part of her felt like she should apologise but then another part of her thought against it, this whole situation was still confusing.
