[indent][color=gray]There is a word in the English dictionary for what the people of Earth have experienced. There’s a few words. Chaos. Despair. Hopelessness. Following the annihilation of Ultron and an army of repurposed Sentinels designed by Dr. Bolivar Trask, Charles Xavier was at the end of his rope. Between government paramilitary factions attacking his school, the malicious efforts of Mr. Sinister and his Brotherhood of Mutants, the assassination attempts by the Purifiers, and the loss of Jean Grey in a never-ending war against mutantkind something snapped in the telepath’s mind. Something much, much worse than every single one of the threats he had faced. In the shadows of the celebration that followed, Xavier found himself quiet and sullen, contemplating what hope for the future he could possibly have if he allowed everyone to do as they wanted. He would not make the mistake again. He would not lose anyone again.  

Before those close to him could realize it, the steps to control and determine everything in a way to achieve “true peace for mutantkind” began. By the time Erik Lehnsherr, his closest and oldest friend, realized what was happening it was too late. Confronting Xaiver would be his first and last mistake. And thus began the reign of Onslaught, a persona that would not rest until everything was as it should be. Those powerful enough to oppose him would join his cause or be subject to elimination. Half-a-decade later, and pockets of a resistance strive to bring Xavier down and bring balance to the world.

[indent][color=gray]When Magneto found Lorna following a violent magnetic pulse, he chose to raise her with the next generation of mutants at the academy he and Charles Xavier had founded several years prior. This Lorna would know from the onset that she was the offspring of the master of magnetism. It was this that Lorna would have a strong relationship with her father as she learned to hone her abilities. But when the reign of Onslaught began, everything would change for the worst. However, right on the cusp of a potential victory at restoring peace to a battle-torn Earth, she disappeared; snatched from her reality right when it needed her leadership the most.[/color][/indent]
