Victoria let out a girly chortle as Vail suggested she set the boxes down and follow him to god knows where. “Oh, you must think I’m really stupid!” She asked as she turned around to face him fully. She wasn’t as afraid to look him in the eye with the box of silver in her arms to guard her. “If you’re so concerned about my arms getting tired then why don’t you carry them for me?” She teased him as she pushed the boxes toward him, knowing full well he’d back off. He had some balls to try and treat her like a drunken whore he could easily persuade to a ‘convenient’ place to rest. She sighed and turned away from him. “Just...go home Vail.” She continued to walk home. He really was persistent, yet she liked that he wanted her so much to risk his own life. For a vampire in hiding and trying to keep a low profile, he sure wasn’t very smart. He mustn’t be thinking straight around her intoxicating scent of blood pumping beneath her veins. He was going to get himself killed at this rate. Would she really have to save his life again? He should just go find himself an easier target. “Or just go find a drunken whore or something…your favourite no doubt…” She rolled her eyes as she strode confidently but her arms were weakening. Her heart pumped harder and faster as her breathing increased to keep up the stamina. ‘Damn these bullets are heavy…’ She had to quicken her pace to get home before running out of energy and letting the boxes drop out of her hands, then Vail could take advantage of the situation.
