He is skilled (for his age) in a variety of martial arts.mhe never favors brute strength but in using his speed and size against stronger opponents. [indent][color=gray][i]Tim lived a life of luxury and of passive neglect. As a child his wealthy parents often left him in their Gotham mansion with only a nanny to take care of him while they visited other places and countries. Left mostly to his own devices Tim spent most of his time either in the large Drake library or with his camera.

When he was twelve Tim was able to match Batman's movements to Bruce Wayne. The boy confronted his next door neighbor after he broke into his house and subsequently the Batcave. Bruce didn't want anything to do with Tim but the boy was nothing if not logical. He convinced Bruce that he would expose him as Batman if he did not train Tim.

Bruce believed the boy and set about training him as Robin. [/i][/color][/indent][/indent][/hider]
