[indent][color=gray][i]Terra has a very powerful form of Geokinesis, the ability to manipulate earth.  Rocks, dirt, those basics that we attribute to Mother Earth are all under Terra’s control.  She is able to morph and modify the earth with her will alone which makes it a very versatile power; the control is so complete that she can move dirt through the air, carve tunnels, and create formations like stone pillars and spikes for attacking and defending.  Her connection to the Earth is so incredible; everything from causing earthquakes to levitating massive boulders is not outside the realm of possibility if she concentrates enough.

While her power over the Earth is impressive, her mental state can cause said power to spiral out of control which can lead to excessive collateral damage.  Also, because her power only affects earth and no other substances, her powers are much more useful in places with open access to the ground.  If Terra finds herself in say, the middle of a concrete building there isn’t too much around for her to use, so on such occasions she usually needs to bring along her own dirt in order to use her powers.

Given a variety of private tutors at a young age, Tara is quite the academic which includes many European languages, such as German, Latvian, French, and Russian.  Since most of her life she grew up in the United States, her accent is virtually non-existent.  As expected of someone with royal blood she has maintained high marks in most subjects.

As a method for controlling her vast powers she was also taught various martial arts in order to teach her discipline; in particular she was taught Krav Maga, Jujitsu, and battle tactics.  She was also taught to use weapons such as short staffs, knives, and handguns.  Usually she sticks to her powers and martial arts unless she knows she'll have almost no access to earth. [indent][b][sub][h3]Character Synopsis[/h3][/sub][/b]

[indent][color=gray][i]Tara Markov was the illegitimate daughter of the King of Markovia but this was kept secret from the public for obvious reasons.  Being born into a noble house her first four years were spent in the luxury of the royal palace.  On her fifth birthday however, Tara was forced to leave to ensure that no scandals could develop in the future.  Placed into the capable hands of Dr. Helga Jace, Tara was sent to the United States to live out her own life.

Given a sizable sum of money each month, Tara was ensured a comfortable life to live.  Good housing, schooling, even private tutors for the most well rounded education possible, as she is the daughter of a king.  Language was especially important so she grew up learning German, Latvian, English, French, Russian, and even some Polish.  For several years she grew up normally under the guardianship of Dr. Jace, but as it turned out, her guardian was much more interested in her own research than taking care of the young Markov.

At the age of nine, Dr. Helga Jace’s research confirmed the presence of the metagene in Tara and so she wasted no time experimenting on the child.  The experiment was a success and Tara’s metagene was unlocked giving her the almost complete control over Earth.  Dr. Jace was quite pleased by her success but after the newly awakened Tara almost completely trashed her lab in a panicked state, she realized the young Markov desperately needed training to control her powers.  Of course she couldn’t go to a legitimate source since that would reveal her unethical experiments, so she opted for hiring the best mercenaries she could buy to train the girl.

The one mercenary that made the most impact on young Tara was [b]Deathstroke[/b].  While his tutelage was only for a short time before he took on another mission, his instruction was harsh and invaluable toward giving her a grip on her powers.  While instructive, it was also a very painful time for Tara and helped solidify the fact in Tara’s mind that Dr. Jace did not have the best of intentions for her.

Finally at the age of thirteen Tara had enough of Dr. Jace and through some clever correspondence with her Father back home, was able to remove Dr. Jace as her guardian so she could live her own life.  Finally free, Tara is continuing her education while also, letting herself loose, cutting back on tutors and other activities so she can enjoy her own life more while using her powers as she sees fit on the side.[/i][/color][/indent][/indent][/hider]
