Jade, Azure, & Opal were always Alister's favorite gems, which is why he named each head of Beryl after them, much to her amusement. Alister is a man from noble blood and his family is close to the crown, which is why he enlisted as a rider. He wanted to get away from his life as a noble and became something extreme and full of danger and fun.

Beryl is a large dragon who's form is rather slender than most of her type which gives her ability to move swifter than most dark dragons. She also has three heads, which most would take as three different dragons but they are all her, like fingers. She can breath gas from each of her heads or just one at a time. She has been able to breath the famous "shadow breath", but it only happened once and it took a lot from her.

Beryl's large form restricts her from movingg very fast when she is in land and her wings get in the way sometimes. While she is able to "shadow breath" she has only been able to do it once and hasn't been able to figure out how to do it again. Beryl is a very careless dragons and doesn't take things very seriously,

Beryl likes Alister, he's a funny little boy with big dreams and ambitions. He almost shit himself when she chose him.
