[indent][color=yellow][i]As the son of the Scarlet Speedster Wally has an innate connection with the Speed Force, the source of Speedster power. Taking on the incredible speed of his father Wally is as quick on his feet as his father was when he started out. However with his speed comes some disadvantages as well. Wally's metabolism burns so fast that he must constantly eat and eat large quantities just to keep up his normal functions. Wally also has a tendency to act before he thinks, he is constantly charging head first without thinking the situation through which does not pair well with his cocky attitude. 

On a practical note Wally, while being supremely stubborn to learn, is very instinctive with his powers. He is a quick study and has shown a special niche for the investigative arts being very perceptive to small details and his eidetic memory.

Most kids try to live up to the legacy of their parents which can be a little daunting. It can be even more so when your dad happens to be the Fastest Man Alive. Wally has lived in his father's shadow his whole life and for a while he was okay with that. Life as the son of the Scarlet Speedster was of course challenging, never being able to tell your friends what your dad does (even though life as a CSI wasn't so bad), your dad never being there for your events at school. It was lonely but acceptable...at first. When Wally first presented with his powers both him and his Dad couldn't be more thrilled; talk of father/son team ups and fighting the Rogues together flares up like wildfire until his mom hit the breaks on the whole thing. 

Insisting that Wally learn to control his powers before going out in the field, Barry and Wally spent months training, learning about the Speed Force, and most of all learning the rules for having such incredible power. It all became...boring. By the time Wally turned sixteen he felt that he had already learned enough to help his Dad much to the disapproval of his mother. At night Wally would sneak out of their apartment and fight crime at night seperate from the watchful eyes his Father or the S.T.A.R. Labs crew which, upon getting caught, infuriated his Mom.

Wally seeks to strike out on his own far from his father's shadow to become a hero in his own right, who knows, maybe even one day even lose the name Flash all together.
