The first particular style revolves around his life in the age of technology and the focus on the salary man lifestyle. This style consists of a three-piece business suit; his slacks and shoes are black along with his vest, but his undershirt is white. Instead of wearing his jacket he lets it hand off his broad shoulders serving more as a cloak than anything else. Next is his standard Gotei 13 Shihakusho with some nuances, the under lining of his cloak isn’t one color but a rang of them all in addition to his obi. As for his last outfit, due to his time in Rukongai and adapting to the feudal samurai style world. Mitsue has adopted wearing a Shinsengumi uniform when he’s not filling out paper work or on the job, it is his more relaxed style of clothing sometimes paired with a dark yukata with a pair of geta and no socks. In terms of physical appearance, Mitsue is quite average. He stands at a modest height of 177 cm and weighs around 64 kgs. While he’s no particularly tall or skinny he does make up for his small frame with exceptionally toned muscles. Mituse isn’t bulky in one area of his body, but instead has it spread out through his 177 cm body. All of his muscle is visible especially when wearing tighter clothes or when he’s mostly disrobed. His eyes are a piercing gun metal blue that’s paired with short but styled dark green almost black colored hair. The only thing left to be said about Mitsue is that he quite the attractive man only obscured by his obsessive habit of constantly smoking. As far as his zanpakuto, he keeps it sheathed in his obi directly on his right hip. Mitsue is almost always seen with a cigarette in his mouth or a pack on his persons. 【Biography:】 Life Before Death Mitsue was the ideal child, when he was born, he never cried or wanted for anything. He was born to two loving and hardworking parents and that’s how life went for around the next two years. Although he was a single child, he never really got to experience the lifestyle that came with it since the birth of his younger sister was soon announced to him. The thought of another child always created a sense of dismay and jealousy in older children, but Mitsue was rather different. After Hanami was born, everything changed in the little boy’s life. Like any three-year-old he tried to be the model brother and watched over his sister rather diligently whilst being careful to do no harm to the fragile little baby. And so, for a time thing remained the same with the two until they were old enough to go to school. From an early age his parents spoke with him to ensure he always watched over his sister and made sure she never was put in a compromising position. In the early school days this meant Mitsue would come to her aid whenever she would cry or get into an argument which often ended in him beating up the kid who was the cause of her pain. It was only after a few more incidents that kids far and wide learned that Hanami had a shadow watching over her, one that had eyes set to kill. Besides being his sister’s watchful protector, Mitsue grew into quite the gentleman, model student, and son. Academics was no issue for him since he was just as strict and rigid with his studies as he was with watching his sister. Sitting comfortably at the top of his class allowed him opportunities that extended into the realm of faculty and other members of the school. After school programs were also something, he took part of. If it wasn’t enough to be a leader in class, he was also a leader in teams such as the swim team, volleyball team, and finally, Kendo. While he was loved at school and his community, he was also loved by his family all the same. Mitsue was one of those people who found pride in having such a strong connection to their family. On the outside they seemed like the model family with the eldest son accomplishing everything the first child is set up to do. However, like every sad story there’s always something else going on in the background that is shown only to those afflicted by it. Everything was true of Mitsue the problem didn’t lie within him, but rather it lied therein with his father. The reason why Mitsue and Hanami could never have friends over was because of their father. Unfortunately for him he was injured on the job and was forced to move into early retirement. Yet this retirement came with no benefits or pension since the company filed his injury as negligence. Having no source of income and a depression that couldn’t be kicked, his father found comfort in the only thing that could, alcohol. As cliché as it might be, their father spiraled down into a pit of alcoholism and rage. For a time, things were manageable, his mother worked as a florist as she did before, Mitsue used any money from scholarships and awards to supplement his family while not having to work and Hanami was able to focus on her studies since Mituse wouldn’t allow her to work so early on. There was hope for a time until his condition quickly deteriorated. His addiction consumed his life and there was no lull in time where he wasn’t drinking. Growing quite destitute in his demeanor this worried Mitsue, he was becoming scared of the idea of leaving his mother and Hanami alone with their father. His social standing and equity allowed for him to negotiate ways to keep them from going home which was a god send. But things continued to regress, their father had decided to pick up a habit of gambling once he found out he could get into the family account. At first no one noticed, it was just a few dollars here another few dollars there, nothing that couldn’t be chalked up to ‘therapy’ or more alcohol. It wasn’t until the spending exceeded more than him and his mother could afford to make a month that it became an issue. Thus, forcing Mitsue to go out and find work after school and sports along with his mother. Mitsue though Hanami was safe from all of this and could continue to live peacefully if he could just do this one thing for her. Little did he know his kind-hearted ideals would be dashed away in deplorable fashion. Stripped of access to their monetary account, their father went to gamble one last time betting everything he had on the table. He was easy pickings for anyone who had two functioning eyes, but that didn’t stop these men from taking whatever he had. With no money to offer and having lost every hand he played their father was now at the mercy of loan sharks. Anyone who’s dealt with an alcoholic especially one that’s family knows that their guilt and persuasion is what destroys families, the promise that things will get better when they in fact get worse. Caught up in their fathers lies and shades of sobriety, Hanami reluctantly decided to their good for nothing father. Her shadow wasn’t with her anymore and had foolishly thought she was under watchful guidance, so he was none the wiser. In an effort to pay off his debt and save his own miserable life, their father offered Hanami as a means of payment. It worked for a time and the debt was slowly eroding until one night when Mitsue received a call from a distraught Hanami after a night went sour. It was then that the secret he had been hiding had been revealed. Seeing red, Mitsue attacked his father in a rage before he decided to end this charade and pay off the rest of the loan himself. Except the loan sharks didn’t want his money, they had grown quite a liking to his younger sister. Not thinking right, Mitsue leveraged his connections and threatened the loan sharks which in hindsight was less than ideal. Mitsue kept close watch over his sister the next few days waiting for retaliation, excused from work and school he allowed for things to cool down before starting his life again. It finally seemed their lives were going back to normal and their father even invited them to eat out in order to celebrate. Reluctant to go, he gave in to his fathers wishes and got ready with the rest of his family. Before they could arrive Mitsue was called into last minute to accept an award on behalf of the entire school. Pressed to not miss it he left and would meet them after the event was over, that was the last time he would get to make such a foolish decision. After the press event, Mitsue made his way back home. The even lasted longer than expected with all the interviews and questions mixed with mingling and handshakes there was just no respite. His house was dark and dead with silence, his gut immediately twisted with the hairs on his neck standing on edge. A trembling hand opened the door and flicked the lights on only to reveal what could only be explained as an execution style slaughter. The walls were stained a crimson red, furniture had been stolen and what wasn’t taken was left broken, his family had been laid to rest together. First came shock then despair, a mix of tears and vomit retched out of him at an alarming rate. Making his way to the lifeless body he was brought to his knees, cradling his little sisters’ corpse in his arms, wailing like an injured creature out in the wild. A part of Mitsue died within him that night, blaming himself for allowing his sister to be a victim of his and his fathers sins. The golden boy was turned tragic by the media and news outlets, he was allowed to finish school, but his academics were never the same. His position on teams was turned over and he was allowed to resign from work with a hefty severance package. None of that mattered to him though, his life was worthless now. Revenge had been the only thing left on his mind, he had nothing left to throw away and he was only slightly hoping he would meet his end as well. In the dead of night Mitsue made his way to the location of the loan shark, gun in hand ready to brandish. Bursting in he startled the loan shark and as all cowards he started to beg for his life. Without hesitation or remorse, Mitsue unloads his clip onto the loans hark, furiously pressing the trigger even when there was nothing left. He stood there for awhile even cried a bit before deciding to leave the scene. When he opened the door, he was greeted by someone else, by something else. What he didn’t know then, but now known as a hollow appeared in the doorway and with one fell swoop punctured his entire chest cavity. A cough and retch of blood escaped his mouth along with a laugh, what a timely ending to an untimely life. Life After Death Life after death wasn’t so bad or at least that’s what Mitsue thought. In the entirety of Rukongai, Mituse happened to have been placed in the 80th district of the north sector. It seemed rather fitting for him to start his new life there. The antithesis of rags to riches, something he wasn’t used compared to his time in the human realm. Poetic in some aspect or a cruel joke in another, regardless of which Mituse accepted it as his punishment for allowing his family to be murdered on his watch. He spent most his days sleeping and staying inside ignoring the rampant crime and murders that occurred outside. There were times that he participated in hobbies he had when he was alive (studying, kendo, working out) but it was still all for naught. On rare instances there were attempts at home invasions or robberies and every time that occurred, he killed every last one of them just envisioning the loan shark he shot. Over time he accumulated weapons, money, and whatever else miscreants carried with them and used them to his benefit. In the violent streets of his district he slowly started to gain notoriety and title that he went by, “Kage/Shadow” since no one saw him, but he was always there. Mitsue heard that the Captains of the Gotei 13 were supposed to watch over every district, but he never so much as met or heard one come into his district. That was until the balance between souls was growing out of hand and what better way to quell such overpopulation than killing the ones that reside beyond the fiftieth district. In the hysteria going on outside of his raggedy home, Mitsue prepared himself inside for one last fight. Perhaps his life really was worthless after his family was massacred so why fight? Whatever it was, Mitsue kept fighting and surviving, waiting for the Shinigami to burst through those doors just as so many before him tried. Almost on time the Shingami entered his home only he didn’t burst through but instead calmly slide the door open. There was no sense of killing intent or any kind of negative emotions harbored within the individual. It was strange and only left Mitsue feeling quite a bit more uneased than before. The man introduced himself as the Captain of the 10th division and while he was here to restore balance, he was also looking for a challenge. Mitsue remained silent through the whole ordeal painted before him by quite the eccentric male. Were all captains like him? Is this what the stories of the Gotei 13 were about? Regaining his composure, he tightened his grip and offered the first strike. Almost like flowing water the captain danced around Mitsue before delivering a drill of a kick to his back. This guy was different unlike the rest that proclaimed themselves as the best, no he was the real deal. The two clashed over and over each time Mitsue getting a little stronger and faster. Little did he know; the captain was drawing out the reiatsu that laid dormant inside of Mitsue. The captain had heard of his name or rather his title and had actually paid the vagrants to challenge Mitsue all with varying levels of skill and reiatsu. So, when the time came to request permission to equalize the souls in Rukongai the 10th signed up right away. The 10th kept prodding and probing Mitsue with questions while he was rattled. With each blow Mitsue unraveled his chaotic and tragic past, the Captain using this as an advantage to draw the rest of his reiatsu out. With one final test he pushed Mitsue by referencing his deceased sister which is all it took for what was locked deep inside to explode outwards in a mesmerizing light. After that Mitsue was recruited into the academy by request and recommendation by his Captain. The integration into Shinōreijutsuin was easy since he was a master at academies only this one was quite different than any that existed in the human world. While he acclimated and thrived under the watch of his Captain, Mitsue made his mark and soon became a star pupil to watch out for. Mitsue trained in private with his Captain until one day he pulled him aside and brought him to a different class of students. It was then what he saw what his instructor wanted him to see, it was his sister Hanami in all her radiant beauty. His soul left his body in that moment and he couldn’t help but weep at whatever fate had led him here. The 10th embraced him and knew this would light a candle under Mitsue’s ass and serve as a means to train harder than before. And he was right, Mitsue had become a new man and trained from sun up to sun down, pushing the limits of what any Shinigami could regarding their Zanpakuto and training within their inner world. Things went on like this for quite a while even as far as taking him out on missions. The future had never looked brighter for the aspiring Shinigami and his captain. 【Personality:】 Despite his aloof exterior he exudes without notice, Mitsue is quite the opposite. He is both compassionate and kind when interacting with anyone he meets. He doesn’t believe in ostracizing or excluding people based on minor transactions or bias imposed by others. This is what made him so successful in his old life, with exception to some unscrupulous individuals that you just can’t avoid. Charisma is something else that was key to his disposition and what made him a great leader not just as a friend or classmate, but as a captain for teams and clubs. His natural sense to lead and his honest humility is what ties everything together and creates an aura of grace and welcome. In terms of his work and responsibilities as a Captain of the 10th he is nothing short of austere. Mitsue believes there’s no room to be lenient when it comes to ensuring the Gotei 13 is run smoothly, this doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy breaks or fun just that work needs a sense of self control. Apart from showing that he’s quite the sincere friend and worker, there’s only so much Mitsue can do to keep his best face on. When he’s not in view of others he takes a more hands-off approach, meaning he can’t be assed to do anything. He’s strict with his work but it becomes quite the drag from the monotony and dullness of it all. Due to the circumstances of his death, Mitsue has developed quite the habit of keeping people he cares about at arm’s length even if people see him as a close friend or mentor. Once an open book he’s since then closed off his pages and information, adopting a shroud of mystery in its place. Egoism became the focal point of his life’s philosophy when he was locked up in his hut in Rukongai. In battle Mitsue tends to keep himself levelheaded seeing as any emotional rise could lead to death. If one can be in control of their emotions and not give way to anger, then more focus can be placed on following the flow of battle. Mitsue always lives by the code of Hesitation is defeat, nothing he does in combat is without reason even if it backfires on him. Hesitation gives away to opportunity, an opportunity on his life he’s not willing to give so easily. Just as he respects everyone outside of battle, he does the same in it, judging a fighter before seeing their metal can also be the death of oneself. Mitsue does not like to toy with his enemy and will be brutal in combat not letting up once he starts, if left unchecked Mitsue can go off the rails and destroy his enemies past incapacitation. He prefers not to showcase his abilities as to keep the enemy constantly guessing on what he can accomplish, a guessing game that he is in control of. Control is a large factor in his style, from start to end Mitsue likes to control the tempo and trajectory in which the fight is going to take even as far as accounting for alternate outcomes based on one decision. Once Mitsue has a good understanding of his opponent and the flow of battle he overwhelms his enemy, like a predator staling its prey, with his combination of Zanjutsu and Hoho. Both speed and swordplay allow him to set up the use of his Zanpakuto which is the core component of what makes his fighting style so adept and destructive. While his spiritual power is immense it is strictly capped within him only leaking out when he’s about to use an ability related to his zanpakuto. Just as he can read the fight, he also tends to read his opponent using that to his advantage. Words can be just as pointed as blades and create openings just the same, creating a rise out of the enemy or using their weaknesses against them is pivotal to the duality that is his fighting style. The blade itself is a notable iridescent metal that is constantly changing its luminous color with each change in angle. The guard is square in shape with a serpent coiling around the entrance for the blade. Finally, dangling off the end of the hilt is a small chain with a glass prism attached in a three-dimensional shape that furthers the light given off by the Rainbow Serpent. Inner World & Spirit:
Ōkagami (The Great Mirror (大鏡) The Great Mirror is perched atop a mountainous range that’s covered in a continuous flow of spewing clouds. The mountains themselves are quite hard to traverse, but also have small chambers and structures built on the more leveled surfaces. You can’t walk or travel to the Great Mirror for it is stationed between heaven and earth, frozen in place in the planets blue sky. Serving as a giant mirror one can also traverse through it as a portal in order to travel to whatever the mirror sees in the reflection of the persons eyes. Titan Goddess Theia Theia was a Titan goddess, more commonly referred to as the goddess of shining elements. She was associated with shining metals, shining jewels or shining light. She was also known as the goddess of sight and the Greeks believed her eyes were beams of light, helping them see with their own mortal eyes. Theia is always pictured as a strikingly beautiful woman. She typically has long hair and flowing clothing that helps to show the light around her as mother of the Sun, Moon, and Dawn. The main symbol of Theia is her eyes. Because the Greek’s believed that her eyes emitted a beam that allowed them to see, her eyes were the most important to them. In her battle form her eyes are set ablaze with furious light that can pierce the souls of men. Her back sprouts four wings and she gains a kind of battle regalia that shows the infinite galaxy within. To finish it off she wields a golden lance with light focused in the tip of the blade.
Zanpakuto Personality: On all accounts Theia is that of a mother figure, in that she treats Mitsue more like a son than a companion. As a mother her first job is to ensure that her children are taken care of even if that means sacrificing her own needs first. Having known the scorn and tragedy Mitsue experienced in his own life regarding his own mother, Theia sees it only fit to try and fill the void left behind. She is both a watchful protector and guiding light in his world. While she is strong and compassionate, she is also the kind of mother to defend her cub when faced with violence or something that would threaten his life. Upon becoming the aggressor, Theia releases all that makes her a goddess and a titan. The mix of primal instinct and divine power makes her for quite the contender as she is not kind to any that oppose her will.
Shikai
[sub]~Terasu, Megami Theia! (Illuminate, Goddess Theia!)~ 照らす, 女神 シーア[/sub]

Ability: Mitsue’s Shikai and Bankai revolve around the ability to manipulate light, this is not to be confused with the ability to manipulate photons or move at the speed of light, but rather the manipulation of how light refracts and acts against reflective surfaces. In order to use his abilities, Mituse uses prisms as a catalyst for his light-based attacks to conduct. These prisms often vary in size and shape and can be summoned by him instantly and controlled via the reiatsu that's attached to them. The prisms themselves are strengthened and hardened by his immense reiatsu so they prove more difficult to break than normal glass. Mitsue has complete dominion over refractive light and color in order to overwhelm his opponent.
Techniques

カメレオン Kamereon (Chameleon): Using his prisms to bend light around him, Mitsue coats his body in his small prisms blending the light to match the coloration and form in the corresponding background camouflaging him from view. Mitsue can also bend the light around him to change his appearance as a sort of illusion, however sound touch and smell do not carry over just the image of the impersonated persona. 画像鏡 Gazōkagami (Mirror Image): Derived from the same principle as Chameleon, Mitsue places his prism in his desired location and projects his desired image through the prisms. This serves as a hologram of sorts and can create a convincing copy of whatever it’s replicating. As such they are based on sight only and have no effect to other senses or have physical presence. 鏡鏡 Kagami Kagami (Mirror Mirror): This technique actually has no real combat effectiveness. A supplementary technique used for communication Mitsue created. Mitsue creates a two-way mirror using his prisms in order to communicate with allies depending on if there is a reflective surface on the other side. Not only for communication, this technique also serves as reconnaissance since he can project one prism from a far-off distance and see through it from another prism. Essentially the same mechanics behind how a drone operates. 曲がりくねる Magarikuneru (ZigZag): ZigZag takes the ability to shoot linear light at a target and enhances it to a potent form. Mitsue will alter the path in which his prisms take in order to change the linear motion of his light beams. This means shooting his beam through one prism will then reflect it to the next closest prism, in essence this allows the attack to be carried across longer distances thus increasing the range and allows the beam to zig zag so it can follow its intended target. This also works with reflective surfaces that are not his prisms. Larger prisms are smaller in number but have a larger surface area whereas smaller prisms are higher in number and are more concentrated/lethal. 青か赤 Ao-Ka-Aka (Blue or Red): Derived from the way light moves on the spectrum based off frequencies, Mitsue coats his sword in tiny prisms. This ability takes two forms depending on which color he takes. If the prisms coat his blade in blue light, then his sword attacks appear to slow down since blue light travels slower than red. His blade is not actually moving slower instead it’s used as a deceptive ability that preys on the opponent’s perception of movement and depth. Someone who attempts to block the blade at the interpreted speed will be too late, leading to cuts being already inflicted. The opposite is true if Mitsue coats his blade in red light. The target will see the blade moving at inhuman speeds almost reaching the novelty that is the speed of light. However, Mitsue’s blade is not moving at that speed of light but rather just a hair faster than normal from his skill in zanjutsu and hoho. 失明光 Shitsumei Hikari (Blinding Light): Mitsue coats his blade in prisms once more, instead of choosing one color Mitsue decides to reflect them all at once creating a dazzling blade of white light. The glowing blade of light seems to be rather condensed which gives it higher cutting power, when in reality the prisms break and create a rotating wheel of reinforced teethed glass. When Mitsue no longer needs the higher cutting power or needs to create distance, he will channel all the white light into the shards and release them creating a blinding light that’s meant to blind anyone who looks directly at it in addition to having tiny shards fly at high speeds. The blindness is only temporary such that of a flashbang or solar flare. 反射 Hansha (Reflection): Reflection is a simple but effective counter measure ability that pairs well with the rest of Mitsue’s arsenal. Mitsue will take several prisms and began revolving them in a circular pattern until a mirror is form. Once the mirror is formed, depending on how many prisms are utilized the mirror can than reflect attacks back at the target. For instance, if a kido ability or a fire ball was shot at Mitsue the mirror would reflect the attack back onto the user. The bigger the attack the more prisms are needed and expenditure of reishi. Larger attacks will shatter the mirror and destroy it preventing reflection. Physical attacks and weapon based attacks can not be reflected and will cause the mirror to shatter. (Refract through Heaven and Earth, Goddess!)"~ 屈折天地, 女神[/sub]

Ability: Mitsue’s Bankai works a little different than his shikai, while it retains the same properties his shikai possess and the abilities that can be used during it, it adopts a new form and identity. Mitsue’s blade erupts into a bright flash of light that jets downward in an x direction. Upon activating his bankai both Mitsue and his target are encased in one large glass prism (think Suzumushi size) that is indestructible from the inside. Instead of a blade or prisms, Mitsue gains two Tessen (鉄扇 Japanese War Fans). These are folding fans that open fully to form a circular weapon that can be thrown and returned in the same function as a boomerang. What makes these fans special is instead of having metal plates the spokes are made from reinforced reflective blades making them lightweight but strong and designed to look like normal, harmless folding fans. His mastery over Zanjutsu also allowed him to master Tessenjutsu (鉄扇術, iron fan technique) a martial art of the Japanese war fan. Tessenjutsu focuses on cutting, parrying blows, and deflecting projectiles with said fans. Practitioners of Tessenjutsu could acquire a high level of skill which rewards itself with a synonymous level of sophistication.
Techniques

鏡の間 Kagami no Ma (Mirror Room): Within the walls of his giant prism, Mitsue can enter the reflective mirrors of the prism themselves. Once inside, Mitsue can accomplish three things. First, he can project his image across the reflective surfaces lining the inside and outside of the prism making it difficult to know which entry point he will jump out from until he does. Secondly, he can project the image of his target all along the surfaces along with himself to mimic that of the famous carnival attraction, this ability does require Mitsue to be outside of the prism in order to complete. Lastly, Mitsue can teleport through the prism via reflection to reflection, however he cannot create multiple images of himself nor can he attack via reflective teleportation. Instead he can only throw his projectile weapons otherwise he must teleport first and then come out to engage in combat. 万華鏡 Mangekyō (Kaleidescope): Instead of casting images of himself or his target, Mitsue can bleed into the reflective surfaces’ endless variety of patterns throughout the prism like a kaleidoscope. The constantly moving and changing pattern is used to create a feeling of vertigo in the target both from visuals and the feeling of the room moving when it is not. Mitsue cannot enter his prism while he is utilizing this ability and so is left on equal footing as his target, the kaleidoscope ability has no effect or impairment on Mitsue as he is immune. Any serious injury on Mitsue will shatter the illusion and return the prism to its translucent state. 刑務所の鏡 Keimusho no Kagami (Prison Mirror): The final ability in Mitsue’s wheel house and probably the deadliest. Prison Mirror’s one goal is to imprison the target within Mitsue’s mirror realm, in order to achieve this the target and Mitsue must first need to meet certain goals. Mitsue must first write the kanji in blood on his fans to activate the ability. Once activated his fans need to strike an opponent’s appendage to create a seal on whatever part it hits. The fan does no damage when leaving the mark and inflicts no pain. Once the seal is placed, Mitsue must strike the same seal with his fans more than four times in order to activate the seals potential as four in Japanese is Shi also meaning Death. If the requirements are met whichever appendage is struck will be transported inside of the mirror realm. Again, this creates no damage or blood, but instead will replace said limb with an iridescent bubble prosthetic. If Mitsue manages to hit the seal any number of times before four and mistakenly hits another limb the counter will break and start at zero on the new limb. If Mitsue is successful in sealing the entire person into the mirror world, they will be trapped within unless they can defeat Mitsue or exit alongside of him.
