Name: Zachary Westbrook Appearance: Zach is just over 5' 10" tall and weighs in at roughly 160 pounds.He has short, well-kept brown hair and a seemingly constant five o'clock shadow. In shape but lacking huge muscle mass, his body type is perfect for running and sneaking. His usual attire consists of a worn-out but rugged brown jacket and a pair of light tan cargo pants. He almost always wears boots as well. On his left forearm is a small tattoo of an ankh. Bio: Zach grew up in the poorer part of a large city. With his mother and father both working multiple jobs just to get by, Zach had a lot of free, unsupervised time to himself. Him, along with his brother, began travelling the streets as pickpockets. They found they had a knack for it and continued for some time, stealing wallets and purses from unknowing citizens and tourists. Eventually they decided to move on to something bigger and so the two hatched a plan to rob a local shop at night when it was closed. The night before they were going to pull the robbery, something woke Zach up from his sleep. It was a Spirit, and the first time Zach had ever seen one. The Spirit told him that his destiny could not be reached from his current path, and that there were greater things awaiting him than the crimes he was committing. The next morning, Zach told his brother that he was dropping out of the heist and encouraged him to do the same. Furious, his brother refused to listen to Zach and went on to attempt the robbery himself. He was caught, arrested and sent to jail with a heavy sentence. Zach worked countless odd jobs between then and his 22nd birthday, getting to know his Spirit, before finally applying to the Library. Branch: Mercenary Holder: Rook Spirit: Anubis, protector of the Dead. He has the body of a man but the head of a jackal. His only clothes are a pair of white, flowing pants and a piece of striped headgear that goes from the top of his head to both sides of his neck. He also has a necklace that is a gold chain with an ankh attached to the front and multiple metal wrist and ankle rings. Surprisingly, Anubis is not all business and is actually quite relaxed for the most part. Zach has come to know Anubis for his quick wit and sarcasm. Weapons/Spells: Staff of the Pharaoh: A tall and skinny staff with a metal ankh on the top. Primarily used defensively to deflect weapons and send opponents off-balance, it can also be used offensively to smash foes. [Active] Dune-kin: By focusing the magic of the staff, Zach can turn his own body to sand. In this state, the next two attacks that would hit Zach miss and deal no damage, and he can quickly move up to 2*AGI (meters) away. While in this state, Zach can deal no damage, nor do anything that sand can't do (open doors, use items). Cooldown is 5 turns. Scarab: A short, silver scimitar, similar to the ones used by warriors in Ancient Egypt. Not good for stabbing but perfect for slicing. Lightweight yet durable and perfect for someone who's fighting style revolves around being quick and precise. [Active] The Nile's Blessing: Utilizing the properties and fertility of the Nile River, Zach can heal himself of moderate wounds or someone else of light wounds. For this to work, water is required to be around or applied to the wound. Cooldown is 3 turns. Talon: A long, wooden bow capable of shooting with tremendous range and force. Also comes with a quiver of seemingly endless arrows. [Active] Secrets of Anubis: While active, the next person's body who dies from an arrow will disappear and leave no evidence behind. Useful for subtlety in dispatching a lone enemy. In addition, if the enemy's SPI is less than .7*SPI of Zach, Anubis can freely communicate with the dead person's spirit. Useful for retrieving important information, as Anubis is very convincing.
