Blunt but not unkind, years of military service has left her with little use for talking around issues; when you’re on the clock (and especially on deployment), it’s better to deal with whatever it is head on so everyone can get back to the task at hand.

This [I]has[/I] lead more than one person to assume she’s more of an asshole than she really is, but she see that as more their problem than hers. At her core she wants to help others, both because that was how she was raised, and what she feels the military expects out of all of it’s members.

Growing up in a gear-head family, Eliza joined the Army just out of high school figuring it would be an cheaper way to get some heavy mechanic training that she could turn into a job in the ‘real world’. It turned out she quite liked the Army and much to even her own surprise, she instead decided to go career. Since then, she’s deployed twice to Afghanistan, once to Africa and once to Eastern Europe.  

During all of that she, thought, she’d managed to build a nice little life for herself, find someone she could see herself settling down with, and once she’d retires going and getting back into auto racing with her family, but that was all long term thinking; in the short term, she had some leave banked and had booked a few weeks in Banoi with her partner for a nice relaxing tropical vacation…only to discover her partner had been cheating on her for the past few years.

Needless to say [I]that[/I] relationship came to a screaming halt, but the vacation was still booked and leave still approved, so she got a refund on the second plane ticket and decided to go anyways…which may [I]not[/I] have been the best idea after all.[hr][hr]
