aw fuck i forgot to explain how taking abstractions work.

So yeah, you take someone's abstraction and get their sigil. You also get their memories which will appear in time as recollections such as the ones about John Reid's. However, using someone else's abstraction isn't simple as taking it and using it. In order to use it you have to feel and understand the emotions behind it - or they wouldn't be able to use it at full strength/properly. So if Jordan died and Penny got her abstraction, she would have to understand why Jordan was so guilty and share the same guilt. Same with anyone else, really.
