[@Mummy Dearest] You may dress as a jester as long as you don't deviate from standard clown culture. Mimes are straight out, for they and clowns are not speaking terms. As long as variations don't tread too far away from standard clownamanity's culture or sub culture of juggalos then yes. But if we're talking about something like a comedian who's basically a jokster in a casual clothes/suit. Then no. Such a person in clown society would ortracised and basically without hope in the same way as a well...a clown in our society trying to socialize and get a job while in make up anywhere that's not a circus.
