Dathomirian Majiks (The Nightsisters of Dathomir are powerful force weilders and use the force to perform feats not even the Jedi or Sith can imagine. Maul studied under their tutelage for quite some time and has figured out several of their abilities.)

[b]Appearance:[/b] Maul is a Zabrack male, standing approximately 6'2 when fully upright, but usually walks with a hunched back. Maul's skin is red and covered from head to toe in black tattoo's that are ceremonial Nightbrother markings, his eyes are perminantly stained with the touch of the Dark Side, his iris' are yellow with a red outline. He always walks with a stick, except when he's in combat, proving that he doesn't need it to move.
[b]Brief History:[/b] [i]"Apprentice, you have done well for your first day of training, but it is time for you to sleep. You are useless when tired, never allow yourself to be useless." Maul ordered as he sat down by the fire.

"Master... Can you tell me a story?" the young boy asked.

"Very well..." He replied, reaching out with his hand, figures began to appear in the fire and began to dance as if marionettes on the end of Maul's strings. "There once was a Sith Lord, by the name of Sidious, who wielded unimaginable power. He was strong, fast, wise and utterly ruthless, he would kill or use everyone that was close to him... Usually both. One day, he came up with a plan to enslave the galaxy, but in order to do that, he needed an apprentice. Someone that would be able to go where he couldn't, could keep people distracted whilst he weaved his vile machinations. He had heard of a great Witch Mother on the planet Dathomir. Dathomir is a planet of darkness, but the people on it are not evil. They weild the dark side of the force to their will, but because they were born into it and molded by it, they are calloused to the corruptive effects of the Dark Side. The Sith Lord travelled to Dathomir and spoke with the Witch Mother, and tried to convince her to be his apprentice. The Witch was a leader of her coven, she had no wish to rule the galaxy and no wish to be the apprentice to a Sith Lord. Sidious told her that he was weary and in need of rest before he could travel, so she allowed him to stay the night at her coven's camp. This mistake proved fatal..."

"What happened?" Asked the boy.

"The Witch had recently given birth to 2 sons... Sidious left in the night and took one of the sons with him. The mother then swore a curse on Sidious. "You will get everything that you ever wanted... You shall rule the galaxy, but it shall be an uneasy rule. The moment total victory is within your grasp, the moment that you will be immortalized forever... As sure as hell's my final fate, you will be destroyed by the one that you made suffer the most. He took the boy and raised him as a son, training him to fight, to feel nothing but anger. The boy was raised to be strong, to feel and use the Force as a weapon, to kill and to destroy everything that his master told him to. The master gave him a name. Maul... Then one day, Maul came across a Jedi Master and his student. This wasn't the first he had killed, so he thought very little of dispatching them. As the Master fell, the Student gave a great cry of pain and drawing his masters weapon, he struck Maul down."

"Kinda a sad story..." The boy sighed as he slowly started to drift into slumber

"Indeed... But it was not the end for the Maul. Maul's brother had grown up with their mother and had been raised into a strong and formidably powerful warrior himself. The brother heard from the witches that Maul yet lived and went on a great journey. When he found Maul, he was barely alive, simply a raving lunatic at the bottom of a dark pit. The brother brought Maul back to the mother and they gave him his mind back. Maul learned that his master cared naught for his death and had simply found a new apprentice. To be stolen from a loving home and thrown aside so callously... It was more than Maul could bare. He decided that, before he could face his master, he must destroy the student. Maul and his brother went on a mighty quest, gathered an army and Maul became a king of his own kingdom. He found the Student and killed all those around him, including the woman he loved. Then the Master found them... The Master would not stand for someone as strong as he. The Master killed the brother and took Maul captive. Maul managed to escape and ran to his mother, who stood together against the Master... But in the end, the Mother sacrificed herself, so that Maul may live..."

"That's... Really sad... What ever happened to Maul?"

"Maul is a name that i have not heard anyone else say for a long time... A long time..."

"Did you know him personally?"

"Well of course i do... He is me..."[/i]

[b]Key Differences:[/b] In this universe, Maul was successful in killing Obi-Wan during their final encounter. But this was a ploy on Obi-Wan's part. Maul was stronger than he and Obi-Wan has made the gamble that he can save Maul and raise Luke into a Jedi Knight by getting Maul to train Luke in his place. Obi-Wan was half right in that Maul would be saved, but Maul has chosen not to raise Luke as a Jedi, or a Sith, but as a warrior, giving him much the same training as the Nightbrothers, he is teaching Luke about the ways of the force, but is also teaching Luke that the Jedi and Sith are equally as wrong as each other. But he does have plans to raise Luke to slay Vader and Palpatine. Obi-Wan is constantly watching over, disapproving of Maul's methods, but understanding that this may be the only way to defeat the Emperor and bring peace to the galaxy.[/hider]

Finally finished my character sheet. I'm gonna give it till Sunday for at least 1 more person to show up, then i'll get started on an IC.
