Leila's head shoots up at the sound of a motorcycle approaching and stopping in front of the shop. She hurries over to the counter, calling a quick, "[color=66c266]customer![/color]" into the back. A young teenager rushes out, apron in disarray, as the shop door chimes, alerting them to the arrival.

Max slides into the seat of her car, slamming the door behind her. She sits still for a second, gathering her thoughts, before reaching into the center console. She pulls out the shattered halves of the spear-dart and inspects them for an umpteenth time. Her mind struggles to put the pieces together, and she slams a frustrated hand into the seat with a curse.
