The mystic land of Satauri is home to many wonders; Towering peaks, vast seas, tremendous storms, and most of all, a silent yet bountiful magical force that flows through all the lands. Your home is a small corner of Sautari, where a crossroads has given way to a small trading town.
Hi, and welcome! This RP will be simple, possibly a "one shot", involving the constable/mayor/landowner/baron of the crossroads town charging an adventurer to gather a group and scale a nearby mountain, in order to confirm the existence of a dragon on said mountain. If the group has enough energy, is still together, or feels the urge to write more, than more grand adventures can be added in the future. Under the eye of the dragon, accomplishments are measured, and wills tested. Any with a means to be better than the current ruler can challenge and possibly supplant the current Fire Lord.
Earth

Plains

Forest
Due to their ability to communicate through the language of the trees, Forest civilizations exhibit a sense of security and community hitherto unseen.
Water

Wind
Always changing, the culture of Wind is artistic and resourceful, yet mercurial. Often dwelling in homes upon the clouds, they gather water to drink through sails attached to their rounded homes. Their major exports are artistic items and gems from the withered mountains below their domicile.
Light

Dark

Races of Fire
The primary race of the mountainous regions, these stout and sturdy folk are known for their shrewd nature and great desire for gold. In regions where they hold a significant percentage of the population, Dwarven sensibilities tend to pervade the culture. They tend to form pacts with Dragons in order to increase their wealth, and business, accolade, and possession are of highest value in their society.

This race goes by many names. Some call them ‘wizards’, due to their stately form, propensity for rich clothing, and innate magical ability. On occasion, they are referred to as “mountain elves”, although this often brings the ire of the true elves of the Forest. In appearance, they are almost identical to humans, but are more resistant to heat.

Often simply known as dragon riders, it is thought that this race was once another race of fire. However, in their caring for and rearing dragons, they took on many features of the beasts.

Ingenious, industrious, and short, these intelligent creatures are known for their inventions, and their cruel outcomes. It’s unsure if they’re human or not.

Massive and eerily silent, these beings are gifted in magic.
Races of Earth
Subterranean humanoids with skin that mimics the texture and color of stone for camouflage. Though wealthy in ore, they seek not grandeur. They’re also seen as foolish, as they make puns on names of various types of stone except for in the most grave of circumstances.

A construct of stone that somehow developed a mind of its own.

The sand-dancer is the surface dwelling cousin to the Lithon. This humanoid race bears leathery skin, and is always on the move to stay out of the heat and whipping sands of the barrens and deserts of the world.
Races of Plains
An industrious but short lived race, the humans can’t seem to decide on any unifying culture, though the most popular form of government is a democratic republic, and they seem to prefer buildings with ornate statues and stone columns with decorated tops.

A humble, scarce race which holds a kinship with nature, and can communicate with animals.

A hardy, magically resistant creature that lives equally within and without civilization. They have a savage reputation, and are reputed to once have eaten fairies.

Communal roaming folk who are difficult to tie down. They keep to the barrens of civilization and tend to their flocks of sheep, goats, horses, and other herd-animals. They have a unique sense of honor, and fight with bows to hunt.
Races of Forest
A Forest race that stands about the same height as a human, if not a touch smaller, and shares elven bone structure and pointed ears. They excel in shaping living wood into homes and furniture, hence their name. They are able to understand the trees, as well as large mammals. Like all other elves, they begin to reach sexual maturity at the age of 18, but are able to learn at the same rate as any other race.

The most magical of all Forest inhabitants, High elves feature dark skin from their lives in sunlit clearings. They excel in making flowers bloom, directing animals as messengers, and other mystic arts. Like other elves, they can live for centuries.

Dwelling in the treetops, these are the most thin and small variety of elf. They have a knack for fusion magic, when it’s available to them, but possess no innate ability to perform it. They are physically the weakest of the elves, and spend much time speaking to birds. Like other elves, they tend to breed in the spring.

Burly and pale-skinned with hair colors in reds and browns, the lowland elves stick to riverbeds and the Forest Floor. They have the most pronounced elven-skeletal-structure, which gives them both the most strength in holding back force, but also the highest weakness to poisons of any elves. Their pronounced cuspids are used to debone fish, and for mate-selection.

Elemental force given life, Forest Sprites often hold a blend of plant and insectoid features. Though their physical bodies die, it is said their spirits never do.

A race of burly, wolf like hominids who value territory and family. Their traditional leader is the oldest and most prolific male of their tribe, who sets their values. They often live in and around caves, giving them the distinct advantage of being the only Forest race able to mine. As such, they often adorn themselves with armor.

A small, magically inclined race with gossamer wings. They are capable despite their small size, but generally sport an allergy to iron.

An exceedingly rare specimen of elf that results in the fusion of all other forms of elf. It is said that lordly elves, as well as most other elves, care not for possession of land, and where they hold sway, fruit is plentiful.

There are certain species, such as certain monkeys and pandas, who have achieved a level of intelligence to be able to build their own societies.
Races of Water
Mostly human, but with a knack for swimming, a Shoreman can hold their breath for a considerable amount of time and speak underwater.

Races of Wind

Races of Light

Races of Dark

A being often used as chattel, they begin their lives as plants. However, the fruit produced is quickly overcome with bacterium, which forms a zombie like body. Unlike zombies, however, they retain musculature and intelligence, and have a preference for wearing or developing armor.

Questions, comments, concerns?
