Two men wearing scrubs were cleaning up a room, the smell of bleach hung heavy in the air as. The older of the two, a man with graying hair and tired eyes sighed as he vigorously scrubbed a dark red stain in the carpet. "Just shut up and do it, we've got to get it done before anyone wakes up." The younger worked rolled his eyes at the old man and continued to work, taking every personal belonging that had belonged to the person who had been living in the room. Photo's, jewelry, anything that might signal "hey I lived here" to anyone. They were all tossed in a trash bin and then taken to the basement where they would be disposed of. An hour passed and the old man let out a groan as he heaved himself off the floor, tossing a rag that had once been white into the bin. The light-colored carpet that had been stained a rusty brown color now looked brand new. Satisfied with his work the man glazed around the room, his trained eyes taking in anything and searching for things that may have been left. "You did a good job, now lets go. The patients are going to wake up soon." The two men grabbed their cleaning supplies, the trash bin and anything else they had brought and left the room, closing the door quietly behind them. Once the pair got to the basement and deposited their stuff the younger boy looked to the man, an uncomfortable look on his face. "Are we doing the right thing?" The boy asked. The old man stared at him for a moment before speaking, laying a gentle hand on his shoulder. "We're doing this for our future, not only for us but for our children as well. Anything is worth that." He said, a sad look entering his eyes. The boy understood what his counterpart was saying but a part of him couldn't help but feel that this wasn't the right way to go about things....people were dying. Today we have some events going on for those who would like to participate. First, there will be a movie screening in the lounge. We've been lucky enough to get IT 2 before it is even out in theaters, so that will be playing this afternoon. Second, we will be having cooking lessons. A famous chef has offered to show off some of his skills and even teach those who want to learn the art of fine cuisine! Isn't that fabulous? That will be happening at 4 in the dining area. Lastly we have one last announcement, Bethany Pierce has finished her rehabilitation and has made the decision to leave us. She is hoping to finish her college degree and pursue a career in psychology, she wished us to tell everyone who knew her that they can also finish their rehabilitation and find a good life for themselves. Tonight out dinner will be held in Bethany's name, so that we can wish her the best on her journey." The voice cut off and all of Spring Hill grew silent for a few moments, some taking in the events that had been offered and other wondering about Bethany Pierce. One of those people was Sienna, a blonde girl with deep chocolate eyes. She sat in the lounge area, a book in hand and was relaxing after an hour of physical therapy. Usually Bethany was there as well but today she had been absent and Sienna was worried, the girl who had been her friend since arriving had never missed a session until then. The other girl had begun to complain about pain in her head and Sienna had begun to worry, though the announcement just now only confused her. How could someone who had seemed to get worse finished their rehab? The whole thing seemed off, though Sienna wouldn't say anything aloud. For all she knew maybe the pain had gone away and Bethany really did finish...though then why would she leave without saying goodbye?? If she was leaving she had to have known before hand, right? Sienna snapped her book shut and lifted herself from the plush chair she'd been sitting in, she could just call Bethany herself. They weren't restricted very much within the Rehab center so calls were permitted, they front desk would have to let her call Bethany. --------- "What do you mean no contact?!" Sienna's voice grew as she argued with the front desk lady, Marie. The woman looked annoyed that Sienna had even come up to her. "It's like I said, Bethany Pierce has deemed that no one contact her from the rehab center for at least a month, she want's to focus on getting her life back together." Sienna slapped her hand on the counter in frustration, pointing a finger at the desk lady. "No way! me and Bethany were best friends, there's no way she would say that!" Marie narrowed her eyes at Sienna, her beady black eyes glancing down to the finger pointing at her. "Maybe you weren't as good of friends as you thought. You knew her for what, 6 months? Is that really long enough to get to know someone, to really know them?" Sienna opened her mouth to say something then stopped, she realized that this annoying woman was right. Did she really know Bethany as well as she thought she did? She waited a moment before turning from the desk in a huff and made her way back to the lounge. As she entered the room she began to feel a little funny, the edges of her vision began to shake and grow dark as her legs seems to grow weak. Sienna had to grab the wall in order to steady herself, her stomach twisting and turning as she felt like she was going to vomit. It took a few minutes and a lot of breathing in order to calm herself down enough to flop into one of the chairs. That was the third time this week....she felt like these dizzy spells were starting to get worse.
[sub] For the first bit we will be focused no characters getting to know one another, conversing and whatever else you have in mind. PLEASE don't make it hard for other to interact with you![/sub]
