Winter nods and the fridge makes a noise as ice fills his cup halfway. She fills the rest with water and picks up her cup. She sips her mix and hands him his water. She sets her cup down on the table and sits down. She picks up her food and lays it in her lap, then leans back and gets her water. She’s still silent, and doesn’t look at anything in particular between bites. 

Ivy honks in frustration when a truck takes a spot she’d had her eyes on. When the truck honks back at her, she loses it. “Hey, bastard! News flash: You don’t own the place!” Eventually, she finds a parking space. She makes her way to the hospital and asks the front desk for Nona. She quietly opens the door when she sees Arty.
