Interested, but a few questions.

1: What age range does the academy typically serve?
2: How developed is the society of this world?  Is it a feudal place or is the state developed?  Are nobility a thing of the past or able to kill with impunity?  I know there are different nations, but I'm wondering what the ideology of the academy as a whole is.
3: what is the biggest critisim against the institution from the outside world?
