Jaida was a little taken back at the Queen's tone, it was if she was the Red Queen in [i]Through the Looking Glass[/i] and Jaida expected her to shout 'off with her head.' 

The guard bowed low and apologized again. He told the Queen where they had found the girl and about her curiosity. He explained that they had tried multiple things to dissuade the girl. She hadn't yet done anything provable to merit beating or the stocks. With a pleading look to his queen. He expressed how this alleged pirate was... loyal to the crown. He told a story of how she had attacked a sword carrying sea captain who had made comments about the King and pushed him off the dock between two ships. He hoped that she might have better luck with the "prisoner" or find something useful for her to do.
