Capital Description: Affoia is a city that is on land but also built upon the waters. The entire city is encircled by a thick layer of white stone, guard towers line its walls along with other variations of defense to safeguard the city. Separating the land from the sea parts of the city is yet another layer of stone acting a secondary layer of defense. Creeky Town as its referred is a pile of old docks and ships in disuse used for the underprivileged of the city to live on. Massive plaza's line the depths of the inner city for merchant use, the life blood of the city. Lining the plazas are red clay shingled homes to the cities populace that are more fortunate. 


The home of the ruling Affoians lies on its separate island in the deepest depths of the city. One is only allowed into the ruler's castle by invitation. That being said invitations are rare as the rulers of this gem on the sea rarely come out let alone invite anyone into their home.

History: Affoia has had a colorful history over the past. Some of it painted red with war and blue of peaceful times. The Affoians have a close history with its neighbor to the north Ospira most of it recently has been in the form of war. The War of the Maiden as it was aptly named since it had started with the death of the Ospirian Lady Serena von Ospira who was to Araxes, current heir of Affoia that time. How and why the young woman was murdered is unknown. To the members of Affoia they believed it was banditry gone wrong, what the Ospirian’s think would be a radically different story. Forced to a stalemate with the Ospirans and left a foul taste in mouths of most Affoians. Since the war all trade to Ospira has been cut, merchants that want to risk the journey were allowed but frowned upon. 

Affoia has also been in the affairs of the Puratani, including the involvement in their civil war. Backing the eldest son, believing the eldest should take the crown and keep their influence firmly in the city. This, however, failed the Affoian’s since they couldn’t ferry soldiers quick enough to back the eldest son. Troops that did make it to Puratani lands found themselves in a war of survival against the combined forces of the youngest son and Ospirian forces. Leaving a thorn in side of Affoia that annoyed them for years to come.
