Three mast-like protrusions (including one on top of the bridge) extend upwards, acting as extension for onboard sensors and communication equipment. These masts retract during combat, down into the hull, leaving only nubs visible. It has a flat bottom and its two main guns are mounted on the front of the ship with the missile launchers being located in the rear and the machine gun turrets being dotted about.
Technical Details
Crew Size Small Dimensions:

Height 60 meters tall
Length 200 meters long
Width 65 Meters wide
Weight Class: Light Equipment and Design Features: •External Mobile Suit Clamps Instead of a dedicated hanger for mobile suits, the Rozencrantz Class has been modified to hold four mobile suits on its underbelly via magnetic clamps. Though functional the choice has been seen as less than optimal as the suits are exposed and require the pilots to leave the vessel in order to get to their mobile suits.
Weapons and Combat Capabilities

Fixed Armaments
•3-Barrel Medium Guns x2 Two 3-barreled guns are mounted on the top frontal deck of the ship, capable of firing at anything in front of or to the sides of the vessel. They are capable of laying down brief waves of shots and deal a fair amount of damage, provided they can hit as their accuracy leaves something to be desired. •Internal Vertical Missile Launcher x8 Though missile guidance systems tend to burn out fairly fast due to Wilberforce particles, they are still somewhat useful. The Rosencrantz has eight vertical launchers located towards the rear of the ship. It typically fires its payload all at once to increase its chances of hitting its targets. The ship also carries smoke missiles for retreats. •Machine Gun Turrets x6 Six single barreled, but high caliber machine guns are spread evenly across the ship. They were designed primarily for firing at other vessels in close range and shooting down incoming projectiles. Currently they see use as anti-MS weapons, but are rarely enough to dissuade mobile suits from closing distance.
Technical History
The Rosencrantz-class light cruiser was designed 100 years ago. Despite its age it is one of the most common ships in the Martian fleet, outnumbering every other design and class in sheer numbers deployed. This is largely due to the relatively low amount of manpower needed to operate the vessel as well as its role in escorting other ships and maintaining visible military presence in areas. During the Rebirth of Piracy in 489 RC, the Rosencrantz-class was one of the few ships in the Martian Military capable of even teasing the idea of chasing after the pirates. It was comparatively faster and more mobile then the burgeoning, gunladden battleships that filled the Martian Fleet at the time. Recognizing the importance of speed over firepower when dealing with subversive elements within the Empire, the Martian Fleet put even more emphasis on the Rosencrantz and doubled the number of vessels in their over the past ten years. Relatively speedy for a vessel of its size and moderately armed, no one in the Zern Empire can deny its important and those on the other end of its guns cannot deny the threat it poses. However the Rosencrantz-Class has been criticized for its minimal armor, the age of the design, and how paltry the changes to assist with the integration of mobile suits have been. Though often showing up in numbers and capable of engaging with ships well, the vessels are (somewhat ironically) vulnerable at the hands of mobile suits.

Heavy Cruiser

Raj Factory||399||Zern Empire

Vessel Appearance
The Guildenstern-class has a similar appearance to the Rozencrants with a bronze colored hull and rounded edges. However it has a noticeably thicker, darker colored hull towards the bottom of the vessel. It has four telescopic sensory and communication masts that can extend and retract at will. The main guns of the ship are mounted on the sides instead of the main deck, which is mostly taken up by the rocket pods.
Technical Details
Crew Size:Medium Dimensions:

Height 65 meters tall
Length 240 meters long
Width 70 Meters wide
Weight Class:Medium Equipment and Design Features: •External Mobile Suit Clamps In the same vein as the Rosencrantz-class, the Guildenstern-class more or less bolts mobile suits to its hull. With six spots on the ship’s underbelly for storing mobile suits. The only difference is that the Guildenstern can hold two more MS over its brother. •Reinforced Litan Hull The Guildenstern-class features a visibly reinforced Litan hull, considerably thicker and darker in color then the Rosencrantz. Though the primary reason for the ships painful decrease in speed the hull also makes the Guildenstern a glorified bullet sponge, able to take a surprising number of hits from powder weapons and explosives. Though MAG and energy weapons have decreased the impressiveness of its armor, the Guildenstern is still a durable ship.
Weapons and Combat Capabilities

Fixed Armaments
•3-Barrel 300mm Guns x4 The same guns found on the Rosencrantz, only in greater number. The addition of the two extra guns significantly boosts the rate of fire and makes hitting the enemy that much more likely. •External Rocket Pods x10 In place of guided missiles, the Guildenstern has external rocket pods scattered evenly across its hull. They have a full 180 degrees of firing and though they are devoid of aim assistance, the rockets can be fired en masse to saturate enemies in a wave of explosives. •Machine Gun Turrets x12 Twelve large caliber machine guns are spread across the hull of the ship. They’re more effective against other ships and projectiles then they are mobile suits. The addition of more guns has had a minimal improvement.
Technical History
The Guildenstern-Class Heavy Cruiser was released alongside the Rosencrantz in the year 399 RC. Designed and manufactured by the Raj Factory it had double the armaments, three times the armor, and half the speed of the Rosencrantz-class. Its role was to support other friendly ships and engage directly in aggressive combat with enemy vessels using its heavier armor and armaments. Though not used in as great a number as its brother, the Rosencrantz-class, it still sees a fair amount of usage. Over the years however the Guildenstern has come under fire and criticized as being a “Rosencrantz class with double the guns and armor strapped to it”. During the Rebirth of Piracy, the Guildenstern wasn’t able to do much as pirate vessels could easily outpace it and deny direct confrontation. However the two classes of ships work well together. With the Rosencrantz finding the enemy and the Guildenstern arriving to provide additional firepower. Going backwards the narrow extension gradually widens before widening suddenly and producing a large square section that reaches the aft. Clusters of thrusters are placed on the stern to propel the ship forward. An overhang and extended edges hide the two hanger entrances located on the port bow and starboard starting roughly in the middle of the ship.
Technical Details
Crew Size Large Dimensions:

Height 55 Meters tall
Length 310 meters long
Width 110 meters wide
Weight Class: Medium Equipment and Design Features: •Large Hanger Located at the rear of the Tearsheet is a wide, sizable hanger. Being designed as a dedicated mobile suit carrier the Tearsheet can store and maintain anywhere from 12 to 18 mobile weapons. This number can increase or decrease depending on its configuration at the time and the size of the mobile suits it is tasked with transporting. •Catapults x2 There are two exits from the Tearsheet’s hanger located on the right and left sides of the ship. With the hangar doors open a long, narrow catapult can unfold. All a mobile suit needs to do is position themselves on a catapult and an electrical charge will built, eventually launching the mobile suit forward at high speeds.
Weapons and Combat Capabilities

Fixed Armaments
•75mm CIWS System x16 Positioned across the Tearsheet, hidden within the hull until needed, are sixteen 8-barreled rotary cannons. These close-in-weapon-systems or CIWSs are arranged to give 360 degree bubble of fire protection should enemies come from above, below, or elsewhere. Their high rate of fire allows them to dispatch incoming projectiles with greater ease and better keep enemy mobile suits at bay.
Technical History
The Tearsheet-class carrier is a recent edition to the Martian Fleet, designed alongside the Redcoat and produced just a year after the mobile saw mass production. Being the first military ship design done by the Sharp Workshop the company did its best to leave a good impression. They have the carrier an angled exterior both to improve the quality of its armor and to give a more advanced, distinct look from vesseled produced by the Raj Factory. Though old hats in the Martian Fleet were skeptical at first, the Tearsheet quickly proved to be an effective carrier. Despite its size it was no slower then any of their larger ships and was capable of transporting, deploying, and recovering large numbers of mobile suits at a time. It lacked traditional armaments but its defensive CIWS were more effective at deterring pirate mobile workers then their other ships rapid fire weapons A notable detail captains of the vessels pointed out were the sharp, angled extensions that left the hanger doors in a recession. This obscured the hanger doors from the sides and certain angles, offering a degree of protection from pirates gunning for the open hangar bay. Following several major blows against the pirates from mobile suits launched from the new Tearsheets, the vessel was declared a success. Many more Tearsheet Carriers were added to the Martian Fleet and they are a common sight wherever the Empire wishes to make a show of force. Though effective at keeping mobile suits at bay however, the Tearsheet is vulnerable to attacks from other vessels. As such it is reliant on its own mobile suits or escort ships to protect it. It retains the distinct bronze color and rounded designs of the Raj factory, but with an anointed almost aristocratic flare to it. The main frontal deck of the ship is taken up by the massive guns and the sides of the vessel towards the middle mount secondary guns. Bulbous machine gun turrets littler the top of the vessel while missile tube exits mark the forward and stern of the vessel.
Technical Details
Crew Size Large Dimensions:

Height: 89 Meters tall
Length: 400 meters long
Width: 90 meters wide
Weight Class: Heavy Equipment and Design Features: •Heavy Duty Liten Hull Instead of employing advanced materials or designs in its armor the Shylock-Class battleship relies on the sheer thickness and strength of its Liten hull. Though hardly innovative it does work and offers tremendous defense at the cost of tremendous weight that reduces the vessel’s speed.
Weapons and Combat Capabilities

Fixed Armaments
•2-Barrel 700mm Cannons x6: The main guns of the Shylock are massive 700mm dual-barreled cannons. Their range, accuracy, and firepower are very high. A single direct hit from one of these is enough to badly damage most ships if not outright smash apart smaller vessels. Only their low rate of fire hurts their terrifying capabilities. These guns are arranged along the front and rear of the vessel. •3-Barrel 300mm Cannons x4 The same cannons as the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are casually mounted on the sides of the Shylock-class battleship like regular turrets. •Internal Backward and Forward Facing Missile Launchers x24 Built into the front and rear of the Shylock-class battleship are 12 missile launchers each. This allows the battleship to launch barrages of missiles at enemies both in front and behind it. While the payloads are quite large their effectiveness is hurt by the fact the battleship needs to be facing its target. •2-barrel 50mm Machine Guns x20 Dual barreled machine guns are scattered across the hull. While they can create blankets of fire, the targeting systems are outdated and against mobile suits and even weaponized mobile workers only their sheer numbers offer any protection.
Technical History
The Shylock-class is a bloated, guttural pig of a ship loaded down with guns and armor. A battleship by design the Shylock was first produced a hundred years ago where its rollout was met with awe and intimidated silence. It became an iconic image of the Zern Empire and a point of pride for many in the military, claiming that nothing could ever hope to outstrip its firepower. However, that pride ended up withering into shame upon the Rebirth of Piracy. For all its fearsome power, the Shylock-class battleships were painfully slow. They were never designed with speed in mind as they figured their enemies would come to them. Pirates however saw no need to stand and fight, and more often than not simply fled with their ill-gotten gains. Leaving the captains of the Battleship waddling after them like a fat elderlyman chasing a small child. The few times pirates did fight the Shylock were with weaponized mobile workers. And in these fights the pirates managed to expose weaknesses in the Shylock’s defenses, using the superior speed of their suits to attack the under-protected underside of the vessel or simply blow out the engines from behind. Since then there has been much talk about the fate of the Shylock. Though many still remain in the Martian fleet, providing tremendous firepower and intense intimidation to any colonists unfortunate to see one, the vessel is on the verge of obsolescence. Many older men in the military want the Shylocks to be refit and modernized, with others believe an entirely new design is called for.

Destroyer

Sharp Workshop||495 R.C||Zern Empire

Vessel Appearance
Like the Tearsheet, the Scroop-Class features an advanced looking angular hull with sharp edges. It is narrow at the bow and wider at the stern, where a small hanger with two exits rests. The two small main guns it has rests on the deck and its CIWS systems are scattered about the ship.
Technical Details
Crew Size Small Dimensions:

Height: 50 meters tall
Length: 140 meters long
Width: 90 Meters wide
Weight Class: Light Equipment and Design Features: •Smaller Hanger A small internal hanger at the rear of the destroyer carries enough room for 3 to 4 mobile suits depending on the size. It was specifically designed to be a rather minimal hanger as its purpose was only to carry some mobile suits, opposed to a proper squad or fighting units worth. •Nanocarbon Beta Plating The Destroyer’s hull is made of a very minimally armored Liten hull. By itself this would make the Scroop-class a glorified paper boat. However the additional of nanocarbon plating on the exterior significantly boosted its defense while keeping its weight relatively slow.
Weapons and Combat Capabilities

Fixed Armaments
•200mm MAG Cannons x2 The Scroop-class employs single barrel MAG cannons loaded with solid 200mm shells. Though relatively low in caliber these guns have long range and very high penetration, allowing the destroyer to damage even heavily armored vessels. Their low rate of fire due to charging is made up for by their accuracy. •75mm CIWS x6 Multi-barrel rotary chainguns allow the destroyer to shoot down incoming projectiles and ward off enemy mobile suits, mostly due to the sheer rate of fire the guns are capable of. •MAG Assisted Missile Launchers x4 Internal launcher tubes positioned at the front nose of the ship fire missiles via magnetic charges. Though taking longer to fire then traditional missile systems these ensure the Scroops missiles leave the tubes at high speeds, before their own propulsion systems even ignite.
Technical History
Produced only four years ago the Scroop-class Destroyer was a recent production by the Sharp Workshop. They were commissioned to design a “Pirate Hunter” vessel. Something fast, well armed, but capable of escorting vessels and pursuing faster targets. Seeing their chance to further impress the military and push more into the Raj Factory’s sales, the Sharp Workshop applied more recent technologies in the creation of the vessel. The Scroop-Class was outfitted with MAG weapons and nanocarbon plating over an otherwise thin liten hull. This kept the weight down enough that a small hanger was able to be added to the rear of the ship. Allowing the destroyer to carry a handful of mobile suits to deploy in escort duties or for its own protection. Upon release the Scroop-Class proved to be a formidable edition to the Martian Fleet. Some believed it did the Rosencrantz-class cruisers job better while some criticized the limited armaments of the destroyer. Nevertheless the ship left an impact on the higher ups in the Martian military, leaving the Raj Factory concerned... It has the same bronze, rounded edged design that the Raj Factory has become known for. However it shows alterations and though cramped displays a sophistication compression of firepower on a relatively small vessel. The engines mounted to the ship are very large.
Technical Details
Crew Size Very Small Dimensions:

Height: 50 meters tall
Length: 90 meters long
Width: 50 meters wide
Weight Class: Very Light Equipment and Design Features: •Plasma Pulse Engines To make up for its thin Liten hull and near non-existent armor, the Seyton-class if fitted with high spec plasma engines. These engines are small, non-energy intensive, but produce a surprising amount of thrust. This gives the Seyton-class a surprising amount of speed for a vessel of its size.
Weapons and Combat Capabilities

Fixed Armaments
•Red Spectrum V.S.L x4 Four low-intensity, red colored visible spectrum lasers are mounted on the Seyton. Their accuracy and distance allows the Seyton to attack enemies from large distances. A special system on-board even allows the Seyton to use its VSLs to better guide their missiles before their electronics burn out after launching. •Vertical Missile Launcher x24 Most of the space in the ship is taken up by the large battery of missile launchers. The Seyton specializes in flying in and simply saturating the enemy with missiles. Of course, due to particle interference the missiles often can’t go very far before their guidance systems burn out.
Technical History
After the release of the Scroop-Class destroyer by Sharp, the Raj Factory felt threatened. As such they grabbed up the first contract they could get from the Martian Fleet and threw all they had into it. The result was the Seyton-class, a very small missile frigate incapable of carrying mobile suits but loaded down with weapons. Despite its size it carried a tremendous amount of fire power and employed VSLs for accurate long range attacks. Raj included an otherwise new engine design to make the ship as fast as possible without overburdening the small onboard reactor too much. The Seyton-class became the smallest vessel in the Martian Fleet and helped to assuage some concerns that Raj was losing its touch. Though many pointed out how that Frigate was simply a cheap, firepower heavy vessel for the fleet and nothing worth too much praise…

Transport Ship

Sharp Workshop||490 R.C||Zern Empire

Vessel Appearance
The Stratos-Class looks like a Tearsheet if the hanger section extended all the way to the bow of the ship, with only a sharp ‘nose’ being left for the bridge.
Technical History
The Stratos-Class Transport is basically a Tearsheet with the rear hanger extended along the entire length of the ship. This was done deliberately by Sharp to save time and costs in manufacturing another vessel for the Martian Fleet. The Tearsheet was proving to be a successful design and since a Transport ship had less demands on it, taking some shortcuts. Now the Stratos-class is used alongside other, older transport ships in ferrying personnel, goods, mobile suits, and bulk supplies from Mars to the garrisons on Luna and Venus. Using these large arms moving large panels or even pulling/adjusting whole other ships is easy. •High-Output Wilberforce Reactor The reactor onboard the Portio-Class is considerably powerful for a ship of its size and type. It was produced to help fill a support gap within the Zern Empire's Fleet. Though transport fleets and large ships capable of tugging disabled ships were available, there were no ships dedicated specifically to providing maintenance and repair to vessels within the fleet. Raj snatched up the contract and produced a number of Portio-vessels for the Zern Empire. These vessels ended up seeing a tremendous amount of use the following year, as countless ships in the Imperial Fleet were disabled or outright destroyed by the sudden surge of pirate vessels. While the Portio-Class ended up helping the Zern Empire to recover and recoup some of its losses, the ship ironically saw more use by the pirates themselves. One Portio-Class ship in particular was taken and modified into the personal ship of one of the more dreaded pirates of the Rebirth of Piracy... Its skeletal frame can easily receive extensions to lengthen the ship, allowing it to carry even more containers. This makes it simple to modify the ship for all kinds of hauling and transportation needs. From an outlaw perspective this also makes the ship very easy to modify into different kinds of ships by altering containers and fitting them to the ship to change the role and capabilities of the vessel. There are limits to this, but creative criminals have always let their imaginations run wild and made the most out of the setup the Kelly-Class had to offer. It has been in use for well over a hundred years and has been an incredibly popular design to this day. During the Rebirth of Piracy, Ned Kelly-Class Cargo Ships were raided and then taken to be converted into pirate ships. It proved very possible and very easy to frankenstein Ned Kelly-Class ships into all kinds of different roles from fast attack craft, boarding vessels, and even proper fighting ships. One Ned Kelly-Class was built on to the point of becoming a burgeoning, massive mobile base carrying various facilities. Of the more famous Ned Kelly-Class conversions was done Rodriegz “Orange Beard” Lanzer, captain of the “Drunk Punch” a 500 meter long battleship mounting a ludicrous amount of guns and nothing resembling armor. It ended up developing an effective and fast vessel that could be tooled for low, middle class, and upper class transportation needs with only minor adjustments and interior changes. This allowed the Haggart-Class to remain in valid use for almost a hundred years. During the Rebirth of Piracy the ships were targeted in large numbers by pirates eager to ransom off people or simply steal their valuables. They proved to be difficult targets to chase down, however their eventual use of mobile workers eventually allowed to develop tactics to effectively get them. Many captured Haggart-Class ships saw conversion into light hit-and-run cruisers during the Rebirth of Piracy, often chasing down other Haggart-Class ships. Produced by the Imperial Ordnance Company the Aitken became the work horse of many companies and even saw use in mining. While not the fastest ship available it was incredibly tough and produced many captains who, well into their twilight years would swear by their old Aitken-Class vessels as being the most reliable ships. During the Rebirth of Piracy, Aitken-Class ships saw an increase in usage as many scrambled to collect the valuable parts from ships and mobile workers. However this ended up many greedy salvages falling prey to pirates themselves and having their ships taken. These heavily armored ships were used as heavy duty assault vessels and front-like bulwarks in pirate fleets.
