"Oh shut up Choi, we didn't WANT to see them like that, we just stumbled across them." Takeshi and Kabocha had been out scouting when they came across the natives, and were shocked to find that a good portion of their body, for whatever reason, was translucent. He'd nearly lost his lunch right then and there, definitely one of the more disgusting things he had ever seen. Rolling his eyes the Saiyan looked back to the door, waiting for some kind of reply from the other room. Both Kai and Kabocha made it a point to get the attention of whoever might be inside, and even so it took a few seconds for someone to reply. When an answer finally did come it was in a rather meek voice, definitely not the commander and probably not a soldier even. As the doors opened Takeshi was puzzled to see a small, blue frog-like alien stood before them. Yep, definitely not even remotely a fighter. His yellow jumpsuit designated him as an engineer, probably the head engineer judging by how old he looked to be. Beyond him and the clutter at the door there were a few other engineers as well, two equipped with blasters and the rest unarmed, all looking positively spooked out of their mind. On an unspoken cue the alien revealed to them the reason they were hiding, and it was met with immediate skepticism from the Prince. A monster? There were plenty of strange things that they had seen in their travels of space, but nothing they might label as a monster persay. Whatever it was had these people near soiling themselves in fright though. "Uh... They're all o-off the ship sir! They left to erm... Well we really don't know..." the engineer replied, shirking back slightly as he wrung his hands together nervously. "The Commander is off as well... Only us e-engineers were left to repair the ship. We just got back from a r-raid you see, and they must have g-gone to celebrate..." Oh dear, this wasn't good at all. Now he had some angry Saiyans bearing down on him and he couldn't well give them the answers they'd like. Would it be better, he wondered, to have the monster here as opposed to these kids. The engineer nearly shrieked in fright when he saw Takeshi coming towards him, tensing up as he raised his shoulders and closed his eyes, expecting to be hit. Instead he felt a hand pat his head, looking up utterly confused at the Prince. "Hey, don't sweat it, we'll find this thing and deal with it." Takeshi smiled as he looked back at his squad, gesturing over his shoulder with his thumb to the engineers. "We know they're here now, so let's deal with this thing before we go off." Noting the angry look on Kabocha's face he gave the other Saiyan an earnestly puzzled expression, tilting his head to the side a bit. "What...?" "You moron, you're supposed to be our prisoner, remember?!" Kabocha snapped, stomping a foot and throwing his hands up in the air. "Gah... What prisoner walks around freely and chats with people?" It was only engineers, but what was keeping them from telling the soldiers what was happening? Now they had a bunch of liabilities that could make this thing a ton more difficult than it had to be. "Relax, you're acting like I just sold us out. Besides..." Takeshi turned, smiling down at the frogman and putting his hands on his hips, leaning down to come to eye level. "This little guy won't tell anyone, right? I bet they'll even agree to join us and help run the ship if we save them from this thing, won't you?" "Uh... Yes! Y-Yes sir!" the engineer said, smiling nervously as he gave an awkward salute. Turning around he pointed furiously at the other workers, then back at the four Saiyans. "Swear your allegiance to them! We're finally done working for the king!" A unanimous and hearty chorus of voices followed that, the engineers seemed more than willing to default. "See? Nothing to worry about guys!" Takeshi declared, smiling proudly as he flashed another thumbs up. "Now how about we go kill us a monster?" "Oh sure, there's been a ton of places..." Yumi began, smiling sheepishly then lifting her shoulders in a shrug. "Well... I've been to a ton of places on Earth anyways. I never really traveled in space before, so I'm pretty new to all of this too. I think we're the only ones here who haven't done this a lot yet, so it'll be an adventure for the both of us." Even if they were going back home they were bound to see at least one or two planets before getting there, and it was a safe bet they'd stop on at least one of them. She was doubtful it'd be quite as pleasant as Kaesstra had been, but they'd be interesting nonetheless. Taking a look over at the parents to make sure they were behaving she saw Kabocha's off to the side, the wife complaining about something and the husband halfheartedly listening to her. The twins' father meanwhile was off by himself, and perhaps could use a little conversation, or some help adjusting to this. Opting herself to lend a hand she excused herself from her friends, going to the Saiyan with a polite smile and her hands tucked behind her back. "Excuse me sir? May I sit with you?" Vegeta didn't doubt Viral's feelings, even if they weren't mutual. There was clearly something awry on this ship and it wasn't anything that they could readily detect. The Beastman certainly had a unique set of abilities that would enable him to pick up on little things, so they'd have to rely on Viral to figure this one out. It was a good thing that the hangar should be inaccessible now, and Takeshi and the others would be more than safe enough together, meaning that there was no real danger to the others. Depending on how close they got to this wrong feeling it would potentially be them getting into the thick of things. In relative silence the pair continued to work their way along the main corridor, passing by numerous smaller room along the way, but nothing of interest. A few lifts to the next level, a couple of barracks, recreational areas and a few miscellaneous spaces, but not what they were looking for. The engine room should be at the far end of the ship, Vegeta reasoned, probably behind a fair bulky door too for its own protection. Until they saw anything remotely similar to that they'd have to keep looking. "Viral... That feeling you're getting... Is it getting stronger?" Vegeta asked finally, keeping his eyes fixed on the corridor ahead. At last he was beginning to pick up hints of what his friend had been talking about, he thought he was anyways. Something in this part of the ship just felt... Wrong. Like it shouldn't be here, it was unearthly. Viral could well be talking about that, or it could just be his own mind playing tricks on him. Either way he didn't like it one bit, quite a fair bit unsettled by now. "This can't be a Saiyan we're feeling... It's not like them. It's not a Beastman either, is it? I didn't think you had energies we could feel..."
