Put a hammer in his hand and he’ll whack away with it until he’s either completed his task or realised he can’t do it with a hammer. History Cooper is a member of the prestigious Castons bloodline. While not of any noble birth so to speak, the Castons have served as the royal “woodsmiths” of the City-Kingdom of Tarrock. A “woodsmith” is a professional trained in both traditional carpentry and wood manipulating magic, making them highly useful to the wooden, sea fearing societies of the day. The Castons family in particular have honed their skills in both carpentry and wood magic for all the years they’ve spent in Tarrock’s service, and anyone with the Castons name is likely to be an adept in said areas. Cooper himself was raised since birth to be an expert woodsmith just like his father and his father before him and so on. He was practically born with a hammer in his hands. The only problem for Cooper was that he already had three older siblings and Tarrock didn’t really need any more woodsmiths. Cooper was looking to be the odd one out with no meaningful work for him to do. So instead of spending his days with idle hands, he decided to set out upon a mercenary ship which was sure to need someone who could patch up the boat after every scuff and scathe. Cooper didn’t really care where he was going as long as he was going to get to give something a good whack with his hammer.
Weapons

Steel Hammer, well used
Throwing Hammers, kept around his waist
Magic

Cooper’s wood magic allows him to cast spells that manipulate wood in various fashions. For instance, he can stretch out the wood on a boat to plug a leak in the hull, or fuse a separate piece of wood into another piece the way one might weld metal.
Other:
