Issue is he kinda sucks at it, and that's not entirely thanks to his brother. Ernest desires to be the most powerful fire mage in the world, and to use his necromantic and pyromantic abilities to become a legendary outlaw. Ernest's desires and confidence in his own ability to achieve them is all-encompassing, but he often finds himself fighting with his own conscience to not do good things. He does the right thing most times, it's hard not to, though if it's beneficial to himself, he can do the wrong thing. Speaking of the wrong thing, Ernest enjoys shaping and shifting the human form with his magic, which he sees as a hobby. This is how he became knowledgeable enough to work as a surgeon, and is also a sign of his ingrown cruelty, which he uses as a weapon against those he wants to fight. History Born the [s]elder[/s] younger twin of the Obregon family of necromancers, Ernest was always a rebellious child, while he learned the family's traditional necromancy, he didn't excel in it until he was a bit older than the average, and he never seemed to be extremely interested in actually resurrecting the dead, instead using necromancy to screw with the already raised dead. As he became a teenager, Ernest became obsessed with becoming a fire mage, despite, if not because of, the hate that fire magic got. Ernest left his home and traveled the world, much to his family's chagrin. His search for a fire mage was understandably almost impossible, but despite the hate he received for even desiring to become one, Ernest was determined to become a fire mage. Finally, on a sandbar in the middle of nowhere, Ernest found a small hut, belonging to a mature-appearing mage woman, who was actually in the hundreds of years old. For the mentorship he desired, Ernest was asked to be her most recent consort. Much to his displeasure, he found himself agreeing. Three years of intense training and some things Ernest would rather talk about, he was an intermediate fire mage. In gratitude, he murdered her, raised her corpse as his first familiar, and burned her house down after stealing any material she had on fire magic. Returning home with his new magic, Ernest reconnected with his family despite now being an evil-laughing maniac, and he joined with his twin to work as a ferryman. While Ernest wasn't happy to not be CONQUERING THE WORLD he was happy with the money he was getting, and when he was approached to join an actual ship as the surgeon, making money almost entirely unnecessary, he was pleased to accept. Magic (Magic revolving around fire is now considered taboo so few have any real strength with it.)

Necromancy (Master)
Fire (Intermediate)
