[@RabidAnubis] Speak with animals is more of a summoning thing. And your character is good.

[@Spike] Yes, by specializing in those, you would have more time to practice on that one thing, thus you would be more proficient, though there is a cap on cosmic magic, as it's very difficult to practice.

[@Randomness] You can post your character. It's late medieval, early renaissance. Basically what you'd see in a standard D&D campaign.
