He squinted as he stared at the image of the talking skeleton head in the sky, carefully listening to every word that came from its mouth. After Aklenroth finished his speech, Kurai's eyes immediately shot over to the mounted man in armor, unsure of how to communicate with him properly. Despite all the ruckus his appearance had caused, no one seemed to be going after the outsider. It was strange, really, many Demihumans were most likely able to single out the scent of a human by pure genetic similarity alone. At least, that's how it was for Kuroi and his family. The martial artist let out a small sigh as he carefully approached the man, wondering if he could find some sort of way to communicate with him. He stayed well out of the reach of Grzegorz's lance as he pondered for a moment. After a few seconds, Kuroi snapped his fingers and looked around the town for a spare piece of paper, be it a bag, a flyer, or anything that was big enough to write on. If he could find something he could write on and something to write with, Kuroi figured he'd at least be able to communicate with the man through pictures. Unfortunately, while looking around, he saw Grzegorz dash off to wherever he intended to go. Regardless, Kuroi had made up his mind to attempt to aid the human in any minor way possible. If he ever saw him again, that is. After all, Demihumans were very similar to full-bred humans, and it wouldn't be against Kuroi's nature to help a human out...provided his kindness wasn't met with kindness of course. Regardless, all Kuroi wished for was to do a good deed. A silent one that could disappear in the night. All the other Demihumans would have possibly reported the man to the authorities by now or pounced on him themselves. Could their inaction perhaps be some mild form of empathy? Enough empathy to warrant turning a blind eye? Kuroi could only wonder as he began to follow Grzegorz far behind, hoping he'd eventually catch up to him.
