 > Vincent “Vin” Marlowe

Physical Description
 > Pale, like most spacers, Vin is usually seen wearing loose-fitting utility pants, a plain t-shirt, and a toolbelt. His utilitarian sense of fashion extends to more than just his clothes: his brown hair is usually cut to a short buzz with clippers, before being allowed to grow freely for a couple of months. His augmented left arm has been heavily modified with hardly a care for aesthetics. His left eye augment is perhaps the sole exception, and might be taken for real at a distance. Up close, however, one wouldn’t mistake the camera lens encased within white, glass-like material for a normal eye.
His final augment is less obvious, but easily more significant than the other two: an implanted neural interface computer, connected directly with his brain. The only visible sign is a skin-colored plastic panel in the back of his neck, which can be opened to reveal a small handful of I/O ports.

Purpose
 > Vin has been closely following news about Derelict since its discovery. A curious soul with a love for technology, the idea of an alien-built planet-spanning megastructure immediately stirred his imagination. He had always wanted to go, but had never found an opportunity to until now, when through a contact he was offered a spot in an Origin-led expedition onto the dead planet’s metal surface.
