Tobias stayed in the amphitheater for a time, watching the crowd leave while trying not to stare. There were many different kinds of people here, more so than he could have ever imagined. His father and his master had told him it would be like this, but he'd nonetheless underestimated the variety of living beings there could be in the wider world. He was curious about them in some ways, but he was also wary, as he was in a new environment. Still... "To someone who doesn't know any better, a small garden is a forest." Tobias muttered himself. That was what his master had told him when he'd been convinced to go to this academy. There was only so much he could learn at home, and if he stayed his potential would be wasted. Well, that was what his master had said, but Tobias wasn't sure if he believed that yet. Nevertheless he didn't want to waste his family's money, which meant he couldn't just sit around. The boy rose to his feet and began to walk out of the amphotheater. When in a new situation he quickly turned to old habits - establish a base, secure a method to aqcuire sustenance, and then check the surrounding environment. Step one was heading to the dorms. Tobias quietly followed the crowd, as they were going towards the same place. The group arrived soon enough and split off towards their own rooms. The boy walked with measured steps, following the path indicated by the map in his hand. The things he brought weren't particularly valuable, so he wasn't in any hurry to get to his room. Tobias arrived soon enough. It seemed plain, not of any particular note compared to the ones next to it. He wondered if his teammate(s?) had arrived already as he opened the door. As he did, he was met by a familiar smell, like the air after a thunderstorm. Surprised, the boy looked at the occupant of the room. "Hello?" Tobias said warily. [@Jasper19]
