It is a conscious decision on her part whether she wants to digest whatever she swallows, however once she does decide the object in question tends to not last long.

Divide Perhaps the greatest benefit of Goomie's unique biology, she does not have a centralized brain or organs in general. This means that if she were to be split into two, both halves of Goomie would retain intelligence and could act independently of one another. So long as even a trace of Goomie remains, there is the possibility of her returning another day after recovering in her human form.
• Inventory: Food, food, food, food, food- • Background: Goomie was a simple slime. She swam around, she ate fish, she grew bigger, she swam around, she ate bigger fish, she grew bigger. It was a simple life for a simple slime, one couldn't ask for more. Then one day she woke up in a different ocean, which wasn't too unusual in and of itself. She drifted around in her sleep all the time. But what made this time different, was how she touched upon land for the first time ever. There were all sorts of weird grey blocks all over the ground, some as tall as her, most not. There were also a bunch of weird fish all over the ground, they kept throwing bits of dirt into her. Maybe it was some sort of tribute? They were silly fish, tribute wouldn't make her not eat them! And so she ate all the weird fish, flooding through the streets and eating as many of the fish as she could until she was all full! But eating these fish gave her more than size, it gave her a boost of intelligence. She understood so much, she understood what the weird grey blocks were, what the dirt the fish threw was, how the fish weren't fish, they were humans. She did not recoil in horror as she gained sentience, crying and begging for forgiveness as she fled back to the ocean. No, her first reaction upon gaining sentience was "Omg, these humans are so cute!" She scooped up as many of them survivors as she could from the city, retreating as the MFF was able to fully mobilize and drive her out. With her she took half a dozen humans, stored deep within her gooey body and protected from the cold depths of the ocean as she figured out what to do next. She spent a few weeks finding the ideal island, uninhabited and far from the nearest nation. She would populate this island with her adorable humans, she would get so many that they would breed and have even cuter babies who would grow up with her as their beautiful protector/goddess! And so began the terrible reign of Goomie, who would resurface once a year to kidnap as many humans as she could and then vanish into the ocean before she could be stopped. Yet lately she has become more bold, attacking cities once a month and capturing more and more humans, determined to build her island paradise and surround herself with totally cute humans. Goomie has made her way to Center City, the place where she could find more humans than she could anywhere else in the world. Here, she would gather only the cutest and best humans, at least a hundred if she could, and then retire to her island forever. Surrounded by the cutest humans ever. • Other: Due to her body's unique biology, communication is quite difficult for Goomie since she doesn't have vocal cords. She instead chooses to use sign language and writing to communicate, which is a lot easier when you can form words with your own body whenever you want.
