Linkle watched as the gunslingers lead got greater and greater, eventually becoming a yellow speck on the horizon before vanishing and leaving her without a guidepost. She pulled out her trusty compass and scrutinized the way the needle swung to and fro around the middle. She nodded to herself, closed it, and pulled off in the leftmost direction that it seemed to be favoring leaving Din and Gearalt to follow her lead. They rode on for a while, Linkle positive she was on the path to find that lost traveller, when they stumbled across a giant monkey monster taking a nap on a hill. It wasn't their job to kill that thing and it wasn't attacking anyone else, so they decided to give it a wide berth. They eventually crested a hill overlooking a... Hmmm... This hadn't been where Linkle was trying to go, but it looked like it was pretty lucky that they'd stumbled upon this lake when they did. There were people here, being menaced by a gaggle of grotesque fish people crawling out of the lake. Slimey, glass eyed, and definitely sag-mouthed. "Those aren't Zora." she said. There was someone she did recognize though, that boy in blue currently doing his best to fend off the fish monsters. "That guy is from the guild." she said, pointing him out even as her companions sprang into action. Din iced up the bridge between the boys and the attacking fish men, while Gerlt pulled off and impressive shot with his crossbow, pegging one across the bridge in the head with a single bolt and drawing off some of the fish monsters to fight him instead. Linkle kicked at her Chocobo's sides, urging it forward. It charged down the hill as Linkle tried to steady herself standing upright on the moving bird. As it approached where the Witcher was engaged with three of the fish men she lifted her boot and pressed it down on the chocobo's head. The bird gave a distressed "WARK," and quickly lifted its head back up, bouncing its entire body in the process. Linkle used that bounce to aid in her jump, being practically thrown forward by the bird as it tore off to the side to stand at the edge of the battle field, warking and flapping its wings menacingly. Linkle was glad that that had worked. It was a cool trick those rabbits had taught her. As she spun through the air she pulled out her crossbows, holding down the triggers and sending a spray of bolts onto the fish men attacking Geralt. She could see the weak link in one of their armor, the gash Gearalt had cut into ones stomach, and made sure to to especially put a few bolts in there as she flew over the group. She landed with a roll on the other side of them. She didn't have time to check if she'd made any significant dent in the monsters, springing toward the two boys on the bridge as soon as she got back to her feet. "Get off the bridge!" she called to them. "They'll be able to attack you from all sides. Get back to the shore and help Geralt." She took a good look around, trying to spot ripples in the water to guesstimate how many monsters they were dealing with here, before focussing her attention back to the predicament on the bridge. The boys would probably be able to get away, she couldn't imagine their slimy feet would do them any favors while dealing with Din's ice, but if they lingered for to long on the bridge here the fish men were undoubtedly going to cut them off from their reinforcements. If they acted quickly, though, that shouldn't be a problem. The problem was the older, spiky headed guy struggling with door. That guy was already cut off, isolated, demoralized, and in serious trouble. There was no way he wasn't getting trapped on this bridge, and if he got trapped here alone he was going to die. She pointed her bows in front of her and fired at the monsters closest to the two boys, hoping to but they a little extra breathing room for what she had planned. "But first, do me a favor and help throw me over to Mr. Spikey Head." she called out to the pair. She kept running while firing, running toward the boys, hoping one of them would help act as a boost just like that chochobo had and send her flying over this second group of fish men. If they did she was going to yell at the spikey headed guy to duck out of the way and shoot a bomb right at that stubborn door, to hopefully give them a place to retreat to and figure something out. She had better figure something out. After all, hadn't she just bragged about how she was good at fighting big groups of monsters?
