That's a bit hard to say, to be honest. I suppose it really depends where you and others take plots as they come. There will absolutely be some unnerving and rather serious aspects of the setting revealed as time goes on, but I'm a firm believer that comedic timing and The Promise as a setting is not supposed to be a dreary place despite what has happened in the world that it exists in.

So I guess it's what you make of it. Fun is first and foremost the most important thing to me, but I've found that it tends to be those you're writing with more than it is what you're writing (although that's important too!)
