“Stupid, stupid, stupid!” Iris muttered to herself as she limped towards the toilet hands clasping at the toilet roll on one of the holders. How the hell would she explain this? Dr Emett and the nurses had been nothing but kind but yet she had ruined one of their mirrors, broken it like some child having a tantrum. Shaking her head to herself as she plopped herself down on the floor being careful not to hurt her leg, she had to sit on the floor to clean this there was no way she could lean down on one leg without falling face first to the floor. Pulling out a couple of squares of the tissue she laid the toilet roll on the floor and started to move the shards onto it, being careful to not cut herself she continued clearing up the mess best she could whilst she thought on ways to explain what had happened. Would they believe if I fell? No… no that’s silly. I should just tell them the truth. I got angry. Would they think bad of me? What a mess… “I suppose this is what my mind looks like. Visual representation.” Chuckling darkly to herself as she continued to pick up the shards, she felt so bad for doing that. Guilty for breaking something that wasn’t hers. She had only been here a day… barely and she was already disrupting like this. Panicking slightly, she grabbed the toilet roll full of broken mirror and placed it in the sink with the rest, using the toilet to hoist herself back up she hoped to the sink looking at the mess inside. Glancing around looking for a bin in the room she grabbed the tissue that was wrapped around the shards from the floor she limped over to the bin dropping it inside. Moving back to the sink she started to clean the rest of it, still feeling the guilt from breaking it in the first place. Cleaning the rest of it she placed all evidence in the bin before grabbing her crutches to move back into her room like nothing happened, her heart was hammering in her chest feeling like she was going to caught. She was going to get into trouble over this and that was all she could focus on. Hoping back up on the bed she placed the crutches at her beside before reaching for the glass of water, hands trembled as she picked it up taking a sip. I should just tell someone. They won’t be mad I’m sure, it was an accident… well… sort of. Letting out a breath she had to calm down, she was overreacting over something so simple. Finishing the drink, she placed it back on the side, her heart wasn’t hammering anymore which was a positive and even though she felt bad over it she was starting to feel calmer. It did make her wonder if she had reacted like this before? What was she like? Did she have anger outbursts before losing her memory?
